[Adventure] Lost Love (DM: Velmont - Judge: Renau1g)

[sblock=minor correction]Velmont, just an FYI Pis is at 7 HP, not 17.[/sblock]

[sblock=Equipment]Can we get general equipment/looks of the opponents?[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]Pis was at 37/39. He tooks 14 damage from goblin and 6 from dragonborn for a total of 20. 37 - 20 = 17. I think you are confusing the dragonborn damage roll (6) with the poison secondary attack roll (16).

Dragonborn have a longbow, longsword and hide armor.
Hobgoblin have a quaterstaff
Genasi have a Greataxe, Handaxe and Hide Armor
Kobold have 2 short sword and a leather armor
Goblin have 2 short sword and a leather armor
Warforged have a longsword, a plate and an heavy shield[/SBLOCK]

Ok, so you actually mean "Goblin vs AC on Pis" here, right? That threw me for a minute.

Given that we had cleared the area behind us pretty well, do we have any sense of where these enemies came from? Was there a door that opened from the wall anywhere or something like that?

Guys, if we can't find a door or anything, we may want to run back to the surface after this attack - our employer may be in dire straights or worse.[/sblock]

Da. Also, what about our poor rearguard? I mean. How's Priam gonna take care of himself? Poor guy.

Velmont, we need to wait until after the surprise round is resolved before we can take normal turn actions, da?[/sblock]

Talkrai starts to shout, "Look out!" but she was too late. She winced as Pis took a couple of hits. She sent a burst of reassurance and healing warmth in his direction while she tried to get a grip on the whole situation. She spent about half a second trying to figure out how this group walked out of the empty rooms they had just come from. Perhaps they came from above ground. She didn't like the implications of that. With a shudder she pushed those thoughts from her mind and pulled her focus back to the situation at hand.

[sblock=mechanics]Minor: Ardent Surge on Pis

[SBLOCK=OOC]1) The attack was really vs Pis. Just forgot to edit the text in IC as I always roll/back/roll/back/roll with my browser.

2)They are sneaky bastard, that you know. So from where they came from, your guess is as good as mine... well, not really, but you can make your own guess.

3) Yeah, this case is exceptonal, we need Talkrai action to finish the surprise round.

The first round will then start with Pis and Ryda action (first post, first act), then it will be the enemies and then, everyone, including Pis and Ryda (first post, first act).[/SBLOCK]

Ryda hears Pis yelp out in pain from the ambush and is glad she never shouldered her bow. “Well, it seems the Lord has finally sent his lackeys to join the hunt, too bad they’ll not find us easy prey.” She then scurries over the bridge to put more space between her and her foes. Knowing Unit 16 likes to be in the middle of the enemy, she focuses on the Kobold squaring off with him and fires a well aimed shot right through the Kobold’s lung. She quickly tries to continue the barrage as she slides toward the far corner, but her aim is off and a trio of arrows fly up into the ceiling instead of her enemies. Susan, I can't hit the caster while he's back in the tunnel, lets try and lure him out. She adds in response to Unit 16.

[sblock=Mechanics]Move: to D37, Minor: to Quarry Kobold, Standard: Cut and Run on the Kobold: 1d20+12=32 1d12+10=17 1d20+12=15 1d12+10=11 1d6=6 One Crit, one miss. Crit bonus: 2d6=11 for a total of 39 damage to the Kobold. Due to Cut and Run, Ryda will shift to G38.
Action Point: Twinstrike at the Goblin: 1d20+12=16 1d12+5=6 1d20+12=18 1d12+5=9 most likely two wiffs. Ah well, dice luck bound to swing the other way after some really good rolls in the beginning. Ryda ends in G38, used her AP, did 38 to Kobold and if Goblin’s AC is 18, 9 to him.[/sblock]
