[sblock=just so i understand]So, they just moved in a little and now they are standing there?

And they indicated they want us to continue forward - meanwhile they'll just continue to stand there with the hostage, is that right?[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Forgot my nature check earlier: 1d20+12=30[/sblock]

Jarren projects his thoughts in Talkrai's direction, hoping that he's understood her abilities correctly; his thoughts appear in her mind more as vivid images and fully-formed concepts than words as he applies his spirit speaking methods to the new form of communication.

[sblock=Talkrai]Cultists; madmen, defilers. Whatever they seek here, we must oppose them. But if we humour them for the present, it may be better for the hostages.[/sblock]

Pis looks to Talkrai and thinks loudly... having no idea if she can hear him or not. His voice has an odd echoing tone to her.

[sblock=Talkrai]Priam is a good man. I'm sure he'd rather suffer a little pain than let an evil man... gnome get what it wants.[/sblock]

"We've lost our riddle. We would need to return to the surface to transcribe it again. Only Priam could read the text. Besides, how do we know you haven't already killed him. Some assurances would be nice."

[Sblock=OOC]Anyone in particular we're waiting on?[/sblock]

The information Talkrai is getting from her friends gives her much to think about, but receiving Jarren's sending after what 16 sent her, she had an idea.

[sblock=Telepathy to Jasper]"Had you ever seen these men before they attacked you today? Do not respond aloud."[/sblock]

While waiting for Jasper to respond she quickly begins to send a message to each of her combat allies in turn. If they object, tell them I'm mute. Is what she sends as a blip without any further explanation.

[sblock=ooc]For clarification, the thoughts in the last paragraph are sent individually to Jarren, 16, Ryda, and Pis. She does not send that message to Jasper.[/sblock]

"You have my word, that's all what you will have. That should be enough. And as you see, your employer is alive and in front of you, that should be another proof. I can also assure you his guards are dead but the workers are still alive. Things will stay like that until you stop to cooperate." replies the gnome. He then takes out a paper from one of his pocket. "And what do you want to know about the riddle. I have noted it here. It's been a few days we were trying to understand it. We had deciphered it but we were still trying to understand it. You seems to have been clever up to now. I hope you'll continue to use that mind of yours to maintain your friends alive."

Wait, Ryda pips up with a look of disbelief on her face, so you don’t know how to get past these riddles either? So we’re going to stand here in this rather distressing situation indefinitely? Honestly, we aren’t very clever, we’ve gotten through the past two rooms on strength, not wit, and putting us in this situation is not really going to help out puzzle solving skills?

[sblock=Insight/OOC]Ryda’s not lying either, both rooms we relied on Unit 16’s strength, once to remove a rock, the other to make jumps. Ryda isn’t going to work on the riddle while in this standoff, so it very well may come down to a kill’em all and let the Host sort it out.[/sblock]
