[Adventure] Lost Love (DM: Velmont - Judge: Renau1g)

"Wwhat?" murmured Jasper confusedly. Yyyes he thinks, but that seems to ask him much energy.

"You didn't bash down the door of the tomb. You employer even told me how you did it. It was clever. Don't underestimate yourself. Now, I would suggest you to activate. Your employer seems he will not survive the night. Even telepathy seems to kill him... I know your kind, Kalashtar. You'll be free to heal him only once you reach the last room. As I have warned you, if you heal him or attacked us, he dies, as the three others up there."

[SBLOCK=OOC]They have none apparent, you still have your sunrod. I'll assume the sunrod was drop on the ground on D32 when the Hobgoblin send him flying into the water. Either that or the combat would have been in the dark while Pis was taking his bath :p Why I forgot that!?! :( That would have been funny.

And I think Pis would have taken it back during the short rest, so Pis have it in his hand.[/SBLOCK]

Pis paces a bit while waiting for the gnome to give them further instruction now that they’ve complied. His eyes never leave the Gnome. "So your brilliant plan was to wait until we were halfway through the dungeon, attack us, and then distract us. You never thought of, maybe, waiting until we reached then end? No wonder you couldn't solve the riddles... You're a halfling not a gnome..."

Pis laughs out loud though he keeps on his toes, still waiting for the chance to strike.

[sblock=OOC tangent][/sblock][sblock=OOC tangent]Now I've got Tommy Makem in my head saying "You're a trout. You're not a steak." over and over again...

Do we have a race for PlateBoy?[/sblock]

[sblock=actions][/sblock][sblock=actions]Move: Move to F37 and back to C37
Standard: Full Defense[/sblock]

"I've been kind, but if you don't start to activate now on opening that door, I'll make sure your friend die and his body will be in such condition that even the Flamist won't be able to do anything to relive him." replies the gnome to Pis. "Activate!"

[SBLOCK=Perception 25]The gnome murmurs: "Bring one of the worker."[/SBLOCK]

"Don't push it," Jarren barks at the gnome with a bestial snarl. "If you want any chance that we might help you then you'll stay where you are, and stop trying to give orders."

[sblock=Talkrai]I don't see a reason to give up on the hostages yet. We might get a chance to save them, if we just don't start a fight here and now. Pis looks jumpy, can you calm him down?[/sblock]

[sblock=roll]perception: 24 (Man! So close! And for me, that's amazing! :))

Well guys, I'm going to try something and see if we can at least pause this standoff. If I'm getting too ahead of myself please feel free to stop me.[/sblock]
"Activate!"
Upon this last word, Unit 16 starts with a jolt and with a much more mechanical movement than normal, slowly walks over to the river (away from the hostage), scoops up a handful of water, and then turns and pours it into the bowl of acid.

[sblock=Talkrai]"Call to everyone but Ryda to relax or back up so that the gnome and mercenary enter the room. If I start to run, heal Jasper immediately and then signal the others to focus fire on the gnome. It may not come to this but if it does we should be ready."[/sblock]

[sblock=actions]move to F34

Get some water from the river, pour it into the bowl, see what that does.

I have no idea if this will work or not but at least we're moving forward in a way that will hopefully relax the attackers.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Yeah, sorry about that. :p

The 'stay where you are' related more to the Perception sblock information - I don't mind if they come into the room, hopefully that should be clear enough in context, although I'm not really sure. Might be some misunderstanding. Ah well![/sblock]

Talkrai narrows her eyes, watching the gnome more closely.

[sblock=Telepathy to Jarren]I wish I could be sure I could. The gnome ordered more people brought down, and that'll make this harder. He must have some magic if they could hear that whisper though. If we do have to fight, hit him first.[/sblock]

[sblock=Telepathy to Pis]Susan wants you to relax. She's trying to entice them further into the room, but if it comes to fighting, try and hit the gnome.[/sblock]

[sblock=Telepathy to Ryda]Susan wants you to feather the gnome if she starts to run.[/sblock]
