[Adventure] Lost Love (DM: Velmont - Judge: Renau1g)

Her hand still in the bowl, Ryda tries to deftly work the key out, but quickly grows frustrated at it’s intricacies and resorts to violent shaking and pulling.

[sblock=Roll?]So this is a blind skill challenge? Interesting, Fail on thievery then: 1d20+6=11[/sblock]

Seeing that Ryda is having some difficulty, Jarren moves over to peer down at the twisted metal links holding the key. Once Ryda has grown frustrated with her efforts he takes a turn, slipping a hand into the basin and taking hold of the key. He tries moving it slightly this way and that, trying to intuitively feel his way towards freeing it.

[sblock=OOC]Let's try Insight. 1d20+14=23[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Guessing that endurance or athletics won't help (without damaging things, anyway), 16 will continue to ponder.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]This is only if Insight doesn't do it.

Roll: Thievery: 21[/sblock]

Frustrated at watching his friends fiddle with the mechanism, Pis approaches and attempts the lock. He works deftly but is slightly handicapped using only one hand while the other weilds the dagger.

[sblock=ooc]I'll be surprised if insight does anything, since I got nothing out of that earlier, but I'll wait to see what kind of results the thievery checks get before doing anything more concrete myself.[/sblock]

Ryda starts to get frustrated as she can't handle the key out of the puzzle and Jarren cannot figure the emotional state of the key. Pis takes a try and after working a bit, the key seems to be free from one of the key ring that hold it in the bowl, but there is a few more that keep it within the bowl.

[sblock=OOC]Letting others come in and roll.[/sblock]

Pis looks at the puzzle for a moment and steps back, letting others have a go at it.

[sblock=Alternately]If you guys just want me to roll half a dozen checks, we can do that too.[/sblock]
