[Adventure] Murder Most Foul! (Judge: EvolutionKB)

"Hasifar, next time we eat somewhere, I'll show how to pack on a few pounds." Knoepf laughes and then grunts as he tries to jockey himself into a position to make an effort to climb. With cat-like reflexes he makes his attempt. "I'm so close Hasifar, reach out your hand so I can grab it!"

Tirial tries to climb up but despite her experience with climbing, the tightness of the chimney is too much for her.

"Boruuk, we take the western ones." As he tells, that, Artemus drop his rope on the ground and start to move toward the western edge. While he easily climb the soft slop, he shots his dagger at a skeleton, but in his haste, completely miss his target.

The two at the south throw rocks at Boruuk, one of them hitting hard.

The four at the east throw rocks at Artemus, both of them hitting hard.

Hasifar tries to follow Tiral up, but his hands slips when he was getting hold from a slippery stone! Hasifar precipitates down the hole...

Hasifar is held in place by a tight rock structure of the tunnel, quite painfully. "Hm, Belly boy! If only I knew that being slim wont help in situations like this, I'll be a taller version of yarself mate! He he.. Woops!" Hasifar laughs, but slips even with the dwarf's help. His straw hat ended up in a funny position, just avobe his eyes. "Well that was not what I had in mind ya see..."

The two at the north throw rocks at Boruuk, both of which miss, but one of them by not too much. The situation is dire. Does Boruuk stay put, help his friends climb up, and get pelted, or does he go help Artemus who is already seriously injured?

[sblock=OOC]
Tirial is unsuccessful in her climb.
Artemus misses (note: he is at J16, not J17, 4 squares to J15 and 2 squares to J16, but Velmont can keep the second Athletics climb he already made)
One hit on Boruuk for 17.
Two hits on Artemus for 15 and 12.
Hasifar is unsuccessful in his climb.
Note: although it is not yet Knoepf's turn, he has a partial climb success and only needs a second partial climb success to get up and out (once the others get out of his way of course)

West group: H6, J6
Tirial 45/45
Artemus 12/39, bloodied
South group: O13, O15
East group: I21, J21, M20, N20
Hasifar 41/41
North group: E12, E14
Boruuk 34/51
Knoepf 40/40

North is up on the map. The PCs cannot see beyond any square at the edges which does not have a number in it.

It's Boruuk's turn. Note: it's a minor action to pick up the rope, a minor action to lower the rope, and a move action to pull anyone up on the rope if Boruuk decides to help the others.

Not seeing what he does, Hasifar reaches up with his hand trying to grab something to make hold and pull himself up. He grabs something soft.
"Well fancy this, a soft stone!" shaking his head to get the hat off his face, Hasifar tries to look up and see. What a surprise he takes when he sees his hand grabbing Tirial's butt!
"Oh my, Sorry there I was tryin' to... Whoa!" Hasifar slips again, hitting his head with the sides of the tunnel, ending in a complicated position.
"Ouch" he grunts, before trying to climb up again, almost succeeding this time, although he finds climbing to be a tricky business.

Boruuk will lower the rope to get his allies up as quickly as possible

[sblock=OOC]
Sure, Minor + minor + move to help Tirial (I think she's the hold up right?) up.

Boruuk will lower the rope to get his allies up as quickly as possible

The two at the west throw rocks at Boruuk. Again, one hits and one misses. Boruuk is really feeling the pain now. He's not sure how long he can stay in this death trap.

[sblock=OOC]
Boruuk lowers the rope.
H6 hits Borruk for 16. J6 misses Borruk.

North is up on the map. The PCs cannot see beyond any square at the edges which does not have a number in it.

It's Tirial's turn.

Edit: Artemus was at J17 and took 4 fewer points of damage from the 2 attacks. I did not realize that he was doing a "fast climb".

Seeing the rope dangling in front of her Tirial grabs it and begins to climb up, with the goliath's aid. She just squeezes into the room and her jaw drops at the enemies arrayed against them and the haggard look on Boruuk's face as he drags her the last few feet.

The eladrin draws her bow, "Thank you Boruuk" she whispers, as she provides covering fire towards the eastern skeletons.

Artemus starts his attack, hitting one of the skeletons.

The two at the south switch targets to Tirial. One misses, the other hits hard.

Tirial spins around and shoots the one south skeleton.

The four at the east throw rocks at Artemus. Two of them miss, two hit. But they do not seem to have the same type of power as when thrown from a much greater height and they do not knock Artemus off. The two closest skeletons lower their guard in order to throw rocks.

Hasifar tries to accidently grope Tirial, but Tirial is already gone. Hasifar does manage to squirm his way up a little higher.

The two at the north continue to target Boruuk, but both of them miss.

[sblock=OOC]
Tirial hits H6 for 15 and J6 for 9.
Artemus hits L20 for 9. Artemus misses his riposte.
O13 misses Tirial. Tirial hits O13 for 16.
O15 hits Tirial for 16.
I21 and L20 miss Artemus.
J21 hits Artemus for 4 and M20 hits Artemus for 7.
J21 and L20 both provoke Opportunity Attacks from Artemus.
Hasifar has a partial climb success and only needs a second partial climb success to get up and out.
E12 misses Boruuk.
E14 misses Boruuk.

West group: H6 (15), J6 (9)
Tirial 29/45
Artemus 10/39, bloodied
South group: O13 (16), O15
East group: I21, J21, L20 (9), M20
Hasifar 41/41
North group: E12, E14
Boruuk 18/51, bloodied
Knoepf 40/40

I cannot update the map at work and might not do so tonight due to other plans. But, Artemus is at K20 and Tirial is at J11, otherwise the map is the same.

North is still up on the map. West is to the left, East is to the right. People seem to be confusing that. The PCs cannot see beyond any square at the edges which does not have a number in it.

It's Boruuk's turn and Artemus can roll his OAs.

Well, I screwed that up. The first two hits on Artemus should have knocked him either prone or off the hill. Opps. I won't be going back to fix it now. Another perfectly good encounter blown away by DM foobaring. ;)
