Hadrak awakes in his house Mykanos. Last time he remember having slept there was before he was captive. He looks around. It is warm but dark. He hears the sounds of metals hitting metal. The familiar sounds of a forge. The smells carry the burning scent of the coal.
He get out of the bed and follow the sounds. The house is empty, and the sounds seems to carry far as even if come closer, the sounds doesn't become louder. Getting out of the house, he walks among the empty streets. The city seems to be a ghost town now. Everything is in the dark and only his dwarven sense allow him to travel safely in the dark.
He suddenly see a light. The sounds seems to come from there. He follow it and see the forge where it comes. He stop in the doorway and look inside. He see a dwarf working. He cannot identify the dwarf, he see only his silhouette, but the dwarf seems to be muscular and hunched. Hadrak stares at him working, fascinated by the work. He stares at him endlessly.
As he finish his work, the object he has been working is a golden cup, richly decorated. Hadrak has never seen anything like it. It seems of great quality. The balcksmith turns around. Even if he can`t see his face, Hadrak feels his stare. A benevolent one. The blacksmith suddenly leave, leaving his cup behind. Hadrak walks slowly and inspect the cup a moment before touching it. As he take it, he hears the city becoming alive again. People walking outside the forge, talking. The city is alive again...
