The warlock rushes along the line of owlbears and targets the one hidden behind the most wounded one. Difficult shot, since the bulk of the bigger beast blocks the line of sight, but it seems it doesn't affect dire radiance coming from above. The shaft of light descends once more, burning mad owl, causing it to emit one of the piercing shrieks marking the start of it's dying fury.

"Will you start blasting them finally!? I've spent my daily allotment of power, I have to rest and you dance around throwing wisps around. We have to finish this! We don't have tin cans to stand and trade blows with the monsters. Keep them away! Here, I brought them together. Now do something. Why do I have to do everything myself, you're hired to help not to stand around!

Sustaining severe wounds, Madowl hoots in fury. Pale blood leaking from its wounds suddenly starts glowing softly in silvery hues and monster's blood stops flowing even as it crystallizes into what would be closest to tree sap. Monster grows slightly in size and its feathered hide gains slight pale glow. While no less hurt, it seems to become bit quicker and more vigorous. However, unlike other wounded beasts, there is no devastating shriek this time.

Creature's blood is most certainly magical. It seems that severely wounding it caused some (likely involuntary) magical reaction. It seems that fey magic of its nature enables it to turn its own blood into protective 'armor' over its feathers. You suspect it will grant monster some measure of resistance against attacks, but hopefully it won't last long.

Kane moves forward in step with his fey beast companion. Marking a second foe with his protective Aegis, Kane's blade erupts in a blast of ice which crystallises and forms around the legs of the owlbear hunters, holding them to the spot. The mad owl is protected from the blast by its allies in front, and now Kane and Jade stand perilously close to the savage creatures.

Vermitrax raises an eyebrow. "I hope you are not speaking to me." After that he taps his staff on the ground, and starts inscribing complicated runes in the air. Once finished, the runes glow, and with another tap of the staff a mirage of complicated magical patterns erupt, captivating the three creatures. Two of them find it impossible to leave the area, and are vulnerable to further attacks, distracted as they are.

The spell creates a zone in which enemies grant combat advantage, and is considered difficult terrain. The zone last UEOTE. Vermitrax then attacks:
Hit all but owlbear hunter 1 for 14 dmg, they are dazed, cannot leave the zone willingly and cannot see any creature outside the zone (save ends). If the creature is already dazed, it takes extra 5 dmg
 

Cyr raises his staff and calls upon The Sky King. The invocation has immediate result as lightning bolt blasts from the clear sky tearing into disabled hunters. The gauntlet that is hovering next to him moves next to Jade.
