[Adventure]: Shards of Eldanarth (DM: MadAzolin, Judge: ??)

"Yes, they are Sith Obvious." says the deva with some obscure title dragged up from depths of his memory.

"They are good at what they do. I would do the same to slow moving quary. But we're in no condition to race them so I suggest we start looking for the place to slow them down or throw off trail.

Lilli, you said the swamp was at it's widest where we started. What do you think how much thinner is it here? Or better yet, anyone know how we could use the path directly without being led in circles as the forest seems intent to do?"

"Maybe that's what they want? I mean, having us in the swamp, they can block easiest paths or simply get ahead of us and wait. I'd like to say we press on, but I don't think we're the party for forced marsh in wilderness and quick punch-through. So, swamp? We can plan what we'll do while we walk. Assuming Lilli and Cyr cannot untangle path twists and lead us in straight line?"
MadAzolin, how would that "untangling" go? If it is at all possible?

Kane smiles. He sends a coin spinning into the air and has it disappear when he catches it, his way of calming his nerves to speak. "Doesn't matter w-what they w-want. We have n-no o-options. P-plan if you l-like. B-but no m-more walking. W-we run or d-die." To emphasise his point he begins running, albeit on the spot until it is clear which way they will head.

"I don't think we can run long enough for that to make a difference. We'll only exhaust ourselves. We have to have a plan, taking into consideration that they will wait for us. I say we enter the swamp and make them think we'll try to force our way through. Let them go around with someone going after us to keep us going. We attack that party and then hunker down in the swamp, waiting for hunting moon to set. Then we go while we're safe."

"Okay. B-but we sh-should run. L-like we p-panicked. M-more c-convincing that we entered the s-swamp to g-get to the other s-side" replies Kane.

Lerrick listens to the plans of her party members offer plans of action. She waits, making use of the time to make sure she haves everything set for what her gut tells her may be a long night.

"Well, if it's the only way, let's get started. Who will scream in fright like a little girl?"
He winks at Lerrick

"And who will wail in anguish? Run like a rabbit? Crash through underbrush?"

Martelai doesn't seem to have an alternative. He thinks of the amulet that brought them here, but except for that short burst of insight and vision of the shortest way there doesn't seem to be any new insights to be gained.
"We'll have to fight anyhow, let's find something in the swamp that is at least remotely defensive."

"Well, if it's the only way, let's get started. Who will scream in fright like a little girl?"
He winks at Lerrick

Lerrick gives the warlock a smirk. If I can survive being stalked by a dragon who wanted me as to be its sacrifice, I can survive this. She stands up. I'm ready.

"Well, I can scream, but I thought it would be more convincing if you'd do it. It doesn't affect your standing among us. It's just a play, like whole of this hunt. Deadly, like King in Yellow, but still only a play."
