[Adventure]: Shards of Eldanarth (DM: MadAzolin, Judge: ??)

Creature eyes Martelai, obivously amused: "Not the smartest Champion ever I guess <smile>. Well, I cannot tell you about the shard unfortunately, it is forbidden by The Game. Would make you life too easy and then no one would have fun <laughter>. Any my lovely stinky one, you needn't worry about me, girl can take care of herself <smile>.

As for leaving the swamp, it si still a walk ahead, few hours of slow champion's walk I would say. So you will arrive thre just as moon sets if you leave very soon. If trolls don't eat you... or Hunters make trophies out of your hides... or swamp devours you alive. But let's not speak of ugly things, come, sing, dance, the night is still young <laugh>".

Lilli has been listening and paying attention, but now felt it was time to speak up, though she chose the Eladrin tongue to say what she had to say.

"I'd rather have a bit of a nap if we stayed, Lady 'A-naai 'Loth.'"

Martelai talks to others asking Cyr if he got something from the stones.

After the answer he asks the party:
"Do you think we should rest here and then start walking while the peace is in effect? I believe we should risk the trolls now rather then wasting peaceful time and resources on them. Somehow I don't believe they are bound by the moon position like those hunters are. And we still have one good fight in us. If we have to rest while the peace lasts, well, tough for us. But no sense in fighting the trolls on the way and then again walk wounded or weakened through the hunters with only several hours of peace left. Right? Unless..."

he turns toward their hostess
"...you could take us to the edge somehow much faster then we could walk through?" Martelai cocks an eyebrow at the nymph.

"OR I can leave you The Shard in exchange for all your knowledge about it and the story behind The Game and events here."

Creature eyes Martelia with combination of pity and curiosity: "Dear stinky champion, I cannot take you anywhere, how could I? <smile> And no, I cannot take The Shard, I wouldn't do it even if it was allowed by The Game and it is not, it is your Shard and you are the one who has to carry it, for all the good and all the bad it will bring you <laughter>. However, let me think...'

Minutes pass slowly as creature sits on the ground and mumbles softly to itself, perhaps meditating or performing some ritual or perhaps just plain insane... Finally she laughts to herself loudly and eyes Martelai again: "It is borderline on what is allowed by The Game, but I could help you in a way. There are rituals, Names and Signs, Wards old but not forgotten that would give you sort of protection against hazards of this place, they would shield you from mindless guardians that linger in the ruins and from old Symbols that still guard roads of city long overtaken by the wild. They would ward off common beasts and confuse monsters would purpose and let you walk unhindered... It wouldn't help against Hunters of course or any other denizens of this place with mind and purpose to hunt you down, but such protections should throw things such as trolls off your trail as long as you don't walk right into their faces... I could invoke those old magicks for your cause Champion, but there is a catch... there is always a catch, otherwise we wouldn't be playing here, it would not be fun, right? <laugh>. You will have to Dance for me Champion, dance of beauty it will be, of beauty and death..."

Her eyes seem to darken as she slowly sweeps party with her gaze: "No, not with me, I would be no fun, I will set forth a call to Her, to deepest and darkest Things that lay buried below us in the countless layers of foulness of the Marsh of Tears and you will dance with what comes <smile>. And when dance is done and if Champion is with us still and not with The Failed then you will have my Wards; what say you?"

Kane gets to his feet. "A-agreed. B-but after the f-fight, you l-let us s-stay with you h-here. For a n-night and a d-day. Then w-we c-continue the g-game with the h-hunters. On l-level g-ground."

Creature observes Kane for a while... "You are my guests, aren't you? As the Old Laws tell and the new ones, you are within my protection here. Also, it would be no fun to let you right into Hunters' hands all broken and tired, I am sure even they would not appreciate that. Not that they wouldn't make trophies of you nonetheless <smile>"

Kane smiles from ear to ear. "I l-like you m-more and m-more. P-play the ditty. And c-call your p-pet so we can d-dance."

Creatures looks at Kane with obvious approval: "Eager to dance, aren't we? <laugh>. Let us begin then"
Weaving her arms, creature starts graceful dance and starts singing softly...
GM: I will give you a bit of time here in case someone objects on the course of action :)

Martelai waves irritably.

"Kane, you should always ask about rules or you could end up not getting quite what you expected. Let's get this charade over with."

OOC: no problem with extra fight, jbear, just playing grumpy warlock :)
We are bad party for solo fights, so think carefully and fire everything you have at it. Try not to double up on the effects - so if somebody dazes it, don't stun it and the other way around. But feel free to prone it :)
