[Adventure] The Cannith Caper (Judge: THB)

Kirska takes a deep draw from his pipe, "Ahhh... ya can tell in your lungs that it's some good leaf" he says happily, lifting a mug to toast the halfling's words.

The amber smoke from Varak's own pipe disappates quickly, leaving a smell of cinnamon and cloves in the air. He empties the ashes onto the table, and grabs the pouch of gold, attaching it to his belt. "She said she'd provide horses, and cover other transportation. What do we want to purchase with this? Food, water, or other supplies?"

"Actually, the Lady Miranda said that the money was to cover travel expenses. With the seven of us traveling, that money should cover our fares should we choose to travel by Lightning Rail. Which is probably the best idea, as it has scheduled routes and we will blend in the easiest if there is a significant crowd," says the githyanki, now taking a better look at the newcomer. He wasn't sure why, but he liked the little guy's spunk. Hopefully he'd be able to keep out of harms way if a battle broke out.

Harressh peers at the newcomer. "Don't have a lizard?" he says, then looks across the room towards Haltor. "I was starting to think all halflings came with lizards..."

The dragonborn returns to the refreshment table and stuffs a few more goodies into his mouth. "Are we ready to depart then? Or did anyone have stuff to do here in Sharn first?"

Haltor nodded at the gith's correction.

Haltor snorts again, causing White-Eye to look up a moment. Those in the city have long left the People and have no kinship with the spirits of our lands. They are as similar to us as the elves of the city to the fierce Valenar. His tone was not disrespectful to Rook, but it did seem to be a bone of contention.

White-Eye and I travel as all in the Plains: Light and ready. There is nothing we need.

"I guess I wasn't really listening," Varak says dismissively. In truth, the rattle of the coins occupied his thoughts, but he continued, "We'll still have to buy food though probably with whatever we have left. I don't really know where we're going, I take it there isn't a place like this on the rest of the way."

"I'm ready to go as well. I carry everything I need."

"It seems that we all travel lightly. This is good, as it means we can leave immediately. Let's have Brews back us all a to go lunch and get going to the rail station."

Rook ignores the halfling's comments, seeming to be focused on the discussion about travelling instead.

"I travel light as well and am ready to go. Though I would like to get a few meals packed by Brew, this is quite the flavorful feast!"

Harressh starts for the door. "Well, I'm ready to go. Though I like that idea about bringing a lunch or two along. Shall we head for the lightning rail station once the meals are packed?"
