So just curious, how many turns in a row can I use Diplomacy as my skill challenge check? Dextyr has a +16, so basically he gets an automatic success even on a roll of 1.
I'm guessing that you won't allow that since it just feels kind of wrong.

As Shorrin flexes his muscles, the boy on the porch pick up their axes again. Just holding them but they seem more alert.

[sblock=Rules of the Skill Challenge] Sorry. I am using the same rules I used in the past - 1 chance per character per round to use a skill. You can either go for a success or assist another. Once all four have gone each person can go again with a DIFFERENT skill. Feel free to roleplay more of your Diplomacy if you want DMDanW.

Also, 3 failures is a FAIL. 1/3 so far.[/sblock]
 

Janus dismounts by tangling his feet in his robes and falling to the mud.
He gets up, grabs the reigns and ties them to a tree branch. "Good eatin but not much use in a fight." he mumbles.

His attention drawn to the old woman as she leaves the house, Janus stands eerily still. Body statue like, his mind focuses in on the old couple arcane senses probing and caressing the area.

Janus shakes his head as if to say that he hasn't seen anything arcane about the place and people here.

Murphy sees that the elderly man and woman seem at odds in their demeanor. She is open and confident, while he is fearful and cunning.

On the mention of Isabella's name Dextyr worries for a moment that these people may be hiding her. "You know Isabella?" Dextyr asks and then continues on without waiting for a response. "You see her parents are mighty worried 'bout her and wanted us to pass on a message to her - personally, ya know so we can be sure she is alright and doing well". Dextyr hopes that there is enough truth in the statement to cover up his manipulation of the facts.

Shorrin sees the men on the porch become what he thinks is aggressive, and answers by allowing some of his acidic drool to fall from his lips. He allows his lips to curl slighlty, revealing his dagger-like teeth. He moves forward just a bit, enough to let the group know he is less than afraid.
