After resting, keeping watch, and fighting for an hour to keep his precious spellbook dry while preparing spells, Nezrak finally closed the book and carefully tucked it back to his backpack. "I've prepared a light spell, but it won't last much longer than the one before, so I hope someone still has a somewhat dry light source. I'd like to reserve the spell for emergencies, since I'm not fond of hurrying in that deathtrap below."

OOC: Spells Prepared:
0th: Detect Magic, Dancing Lights, Light.
1st: Color Spray, Enlarge Person.

Ogrin approaches Nezrak in the morning...

"Nezrak, I was thinking a little during my watch. An earlier... associate, " Ogrin's mouth shows his distaste at the word, "knew a spell that could move small objects. He claimed it was a simple spell, one he almost knew by heart. Do you know what I'm talking about? If you know it, perhaps it can be used to fish for Mona's hyragian heirloom?"

Nezrak answers to Ogrin: "Yes, I know the spell you're talking about, but I'd need to see the object to move it. So It won't really be of any help if the item is under quicksand. There's a spell that could accurately pinpoint the location of an item, and it's not even very difficult one, but it's still beoyond my power at the moment."

Rillian, carrying Scun's large, wet fishing net, considers for a moment, then shrugs and says "Some of us lost valuables to the quicksand. I thought I would try to recover some of them. But, as you can see, I had no luck. I'm very sorry I couldnt recover your holy symbol, especially."

There was a flicker of comprehension in Mona's eyes. "I'm sorry to hear about your lost valuables, Rillian. The loss of my own holy symbol is a painful one, but I dare not dwell upon it whilst in such dangerous surroundings"

The day "brightened" as the rest of the group broke their fast and broke camp. This brightening was little more than a grey and dismal illumination that was a poor substitute for daylight. This light was ill-suited to burning away the thick fog in the area and so it remained a grey misty environment for the adventurers.

Time seemed to stand still in this desolate swamp as they searched for the stairs. It was unfortunate that no one amongst them was adept in the ways of tracking for the rain had made their trails nigh unrecognizable.

The passage of the hours was uncertain but they did find the stairs they sought. The sound of water echoed from the depths of ruin. The party came to a halt as Mona took out her hooded lantern from her backpack and lit it with flint and steel.

ooc: Is it safe to assume that you guys will be following the same marching order as in the jungle? If there are no objections, then I will continue your descent into the ruin.
