The words of the warfordged snap Grakk from his narrow focus, allowing him to scan the area. He then shakes his head in discussed, realizing a chance of opportunity is now lost. Yes Soldier, hammer and anvil. Perhaps we'll get another chance.

The mercearies keep pressing the assault on our heroes, only two of them scoring a hit against Jarel Karn and Morvannon.
The sorcerer atop the staircase utters more deep speech words, hexing Jarel and Morvannon, who walk around stunned by the mental attack; while Bell is able to resist the baleful utterance.

Bringing his axe back over his shoulders, he smashes it down onto the head of the unsuspecting dwarf's head. The axe sinks into the helmet, splitting the head in twane. In response, Grakk roars a battle cry, then yanks his weapon away from the foe and looks for another to strike. Before the dying dwarf collapses to the ground, the goliath attacks another dwarf fighter, but this time narrowly missing. Bring his axe back one can see blood trickle from the massive hands of the barbarian.

Bell moved backward, with a bit of a stumble. Things were moving too quickly. Her mind raced to keep up. Her sword was still echoing in subtle tones, and its echo brought her eyes to Soldier, who seemed to be calling to her with his body to help them push through. "Yes!" she answered the question unasked. "We must advance!"

She slammed her sword precisely against the ground and a tone shot toward one the dwarves, causing him to stagger toward the water in pain.

"Come now. . . we have no time for dying!"
