Sounds like a good plan Metavoid, well except Vok dragging himself along the rope, the poor paladin's as weak as your average wizard but carrying a pretty heavy load. The -2 on athletics/acrobatics is not too good :( .

So...Bellegon/Ryk first? Let's do it up[/sblock]

Ryk studies the archer's movements. Crossing the same roof the construct is standing on will be tricky, but there is a small wooden shed on the other side that will provide good cover if he can make it. As soon as the guard turns and heads to the west, Ryk and Spring creep behind him. Stealth 27 Once safely behind the shed, he draws his blades and holds Spring ready to dash out and attack if the guard is alerted by a teammate.

Bellegon goes the opposite direction and after creeping over a roof he finds a shelter behind a chimney close to the guard. He prepares to attack the guard if he notices anything, nods toward the group and waits.

[sblock=stonegod]Can crush take a bonus to stealth, or bypass a stealth roll if he takes MetaVoid's suggestion and rappels horizontally along a laundry line or rope?[/sblock]

[I need a group stealth check then (Bellegon & Ryk have started). Stealth is more than just feet on ground, so the rope won't help as much as you think (it will wobble, joins/armor creak, etc.). I'll allow anyone who wants to try to use a rope to also make an Althletics/Acrobatics check that, if successful, will help their Stealth some. It won't be easy, however.]

Still wearing Ryk's camouflaged cloak, Crush decides that a horizontal rappel along the various laundry lines will be his best bet for silent movement. Unfortunately though, this strategy backfires as he puts his weight on a fragile line, snapping it, and falling onto a suspension bridge a short distance below with a resounding *CLANG*.

Rikka kept a careful eye on the sentry as she began to move across the roof, following the others. With her keen senses focused on the area around her, the sudden clamor of Crush's crash landing was startling, and Rikka couldn't avoid a reflexive jump-unfortunately that jump carried her into one of the laundry lines and she made some noise of her own while getting disentangled. Hopefully it wasn't too much noise, but she readied herself for a fight just in case...

The group attempts to make a stealthy run-around the archer. Bellegon and Ryk are as if they were never there, neither seen nor heard. Vok even manages to keep his steps low. However, Crush's near fall from his rope sends some debris scattering, drawing the archer's attention. The large warforged takes some cover, but the "distraction" is just enough to allow Rikka to sneak behind the archer's back into the clear.

[Net success. Barely agian.]

Hearts pounding, the group takes stock of the situation. It is only a little bit further along the rooftop, but this time with less perfect cover. It is a shorter dash across the darkened square, but he guards seem to be a bit more agitated from the noises in the alley.

[One more length to go. Thoughts? Approaches? Once decided, I'll let you know what you'll need to roll.]

Does anyone have any weather magic, or something that can imitate a weather phenomenon? All we need is some impressive sight or sound that will draw attention but appear natural, just for a few seconds.
