Alexia blanches and looks away from the bloodied bandit. Noticing the situation in the front, she vaults over vegetation and seats as she makes her way to the engine. Her heart sinks as she sees the broken runes.

No no no ok think. Runes are down, even if we put out the fire, it will just start up again because the engine's still hot. So we need to cool down the engine. So we need to either vent the heat or turn the engine off. Can't do the former without cooking us, can't do the latter without a considerable source of power. Which I have. Oh, mother would be so proud, I'm sure.

Alexia puts her hand to the wound taken earlier in the battle and her palm comes back red and damp. Using her blood, Alexia writes over one of the shattered runes. Through it she attempts to reach out and establish a connection to the elemental powering the engine.

Decree of Khirad vs Bandit 1: Hit; The bandit makes a Mace Attack vs Tracker and misses. This means that the bandit takes 13 damage.

Decree of Khirad misses Tracker and Bandit 4 (Bandit 2 is outside the range of the closeblast 3, but 4 is not. I figured you meant 4) , so they each take 13 damage as well.

Eldritch Strike vs Tracker: Hits for 18 damage, HOWEVER please read below for more info:

STAGGERING WEAPON PROPERTIES AND POWERS:

The Staggering weapon property adds the enhancement bonus of your weapon (in this case 2) to the number of squares that you slide a creature when you use a power that already slides the creature. This allows your Eldritch Strike to slide someone 3 squares (as you have done all along).

The Staggering weapon DAILY power simply lets you slide a creature 2 squares regardless of the power. This does NOT stack with the weapons property and does NOT add an additional 2 squares to a power that already slides a creature.

Because of this, I will consider Garrick as having NOT used his weapons daily power (since it's completely redundant with the base property of the weapon + Eldritch Strike).

Garrick: Please let me know where you want Tracker to be slid to. (3 squares from O-9)

Masumi: After Garrick picks where he wants Tracker slit to, go ahead and post where you want to slide tracker to. (1 square from where Garrick slides Tracker) [/sblock]

The ritual cost is 20% of the base cost, which was 1,000 gold per rune (there are 2 runes, one on each side of the engine). [sblock=OOC] Just to clarify your clarification: You want to turn off the elemental engine while the train is still moving? I'll let you do this, but as a hint to what would happen, I give you this analogy:

Drive a stick shift car about 30 miles per hour, in first gear. Slam on the breaks and keep your foot off of the clutch. The results would be somewhat the same.

Alexia writes a rune in her own blood, a dangerous practice. However, her risk pays off and she is able to temporarily establish a mental connection with the elemental. The air elemental within is raging in its "cage", wanting to break free of its slavery. It felt the breaking of the runes and is trying desperately to get out, which is causing more electricity to surge through the engine, thus creating more heat, which the runes are no longer protecting against.

I can say that nearly all of my baddies (if not all of my baddies) are bloodied. I think only one or two of you still have the ongoing poison, and the fallen bandit is still trying to catch up. I'll post everything witih more accuracy tomorrow! [/sblock]
