Air combat with dragons

Derren

Hero
Other than in ground combat, in air combat the combatants have a facing. Dragons can´t use all it´s weapons in all direction. So with what weapons can he attack when the enemy flies besides him.
My thoughts are:
Front -> Bite and 2 claws.
Side -> 2 claws (1 leg), 2 wings and bite.
Back -> 2 claws (legs) and tail.
Above -> 2 wings and bite.
Below -> 4 claws and bite.

Does this seems correct, especially with the use of the legs ?

the best thing to do to a dragon that is flying is leave a sacrifical pig behind and run away, before he eats you AND the pig.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm pig

From the SRD
The dragon can slam opponents with its wings, even when flying.

And when there would be no facing in air combat, the flight maneuverability and the wingover feat would be useless, because you can´t fly backwards or turn.
And larger creatures who occupy more than one field, always have a side and therefore also a front and back.

Apparently, I was wrong about wings while flying. I must be confusing it wit something else. I apologize.

There still isn't facing, but direction of movement defines "back" and "front" for movement purposes. That's it.

I know, it's a little screwy. Still, that's just the way it is.

I have to agree with Derren, no facing in Air combat would make some feats useless. Additionally where would be the advantage of a higher manuverability when there are no adavantages for the attacker from behind the dragon ?

This would make the manuverability rule as useless as the toughness feat ;) ...
