Airwalkrr's 4e Game IC: Ch 2 Amnesia

Tomlin stutters, "B-b-bandits!"

It takes him a moment to compose himself as he has clearly been rattled by the whole event. "This is the th-th-third attack this month. I usually p-p-pay them off with donations, but I suppose this time they assumed a heavily armed band such as yourselves was here to p-p-protect the place."

Amicae has the grace to look contrite. "Oh."

She sits down at the fountain and examines her wound for a second, then looks up and adds, "Sorry then. I, uh...sorry. Thanks for the healing too. Wasn't looking good there for a second."

"Wasn't looking good? We dominated them! Except when I almost die. But that's all the priest's fault." Says Petron, always merry. He also approached the fountain to wash away the blood. While there, he gives Omar a pat in the shoulders. "Good moves back there my friend. You sure don't want a life of adventures? You seem oddly battleborn for a peaceful monk's life!" he laughs, and coughs in the middle, holding his side. Blood running from the edge of his mouth. "I almost forgot!" he adds, whipping the blood quickly and turning to face Scarlet. "You were halfway of giving us some explanations..."

OOC: Yeah, Petron ran to attack, I forgot that it gave you a -5 to hit, I thought you just gave CA.

"I dislike fighting. But sometimes it is necessary," Omar says as he cleans his blade.

Petron turns to where he thought Scarlet was standing but finds nothing but a faint breeze passing through the trees. It seems she has given you the slip and disappeared.
GM: I imagine no-tweed has forgotten all about this or doesn't care as his/her account hasn't logged in quite a while. We'll just let Scarlet fade away ominously.

You forgot to add that it is my falt too the fact that you are breathing now. may Pelor forgive your insolence. - Krawlinstar says to Petron, clearly dissapointed with the warrior's ingratitude.

I just remebered! where is Awna? she is safe?

Erik

"Forgive Petron. Nearly dying makes him always angry...
But has the mighty Pelor another blessing for us poor sinners?"

Erik says cheerfully, letting Petron handle the situation with the strange woman.

Petron ignores Krawlinstar for the moment, as he is in awe with Scarlet's swift escapade. "She's good..." he says absent mindly, as he turns to finish washing himself.

"Awna?" asks Amicae. "Is that you?" The young girl she's addressing looks up from the fountain where she's been splashing and scrubbing her eyes since Omar put her down there, and nods.

Ami waves at Krawlinstar. "She's over here. No hurts. She's fine."

Then she looks at Tomlin. "Are those bandits on the road too, or do they just attack the shrine?"

"They aint attackin' no one now, pretty." says Petron, as he finishes washing his face. "And thanks for they aid, by the way. Don't think anyone offered ye a handshake." Petron walks near Amicae, his wet hairs stick to his head, and dripping water, and he offers her his hand. "Thanks. I'll ask ye again: Want to share the spoils of a dangerous BUT profitiable life with us?" with his other hand Petron makes an abarcative gesture towards the rest of the team.

Then she looks at Tomlin. "Are those bandits on the road too, or do they just attack the shrine?"
"I wouldn't pretend to know that much about them," Tomlin states. "Many travelers come through here seeking Avandra's blessings before embarking on a journey. I have heard reports of bandits along the Grand Highway before, but that's nothing new. I assume the elves have been preying upon this place because it is stationary and receives a rather consistent cash flow. I've considered doing something about it, such as hiring mercenaries from one of the nearby cities, but quite frankly I was afraid the elves would catch me and... well, bandits aren't known for their compassion, even if they are elves."
