All newbie game?

A friend of mine bought me the 3.5 edition of the players handbook. From what I've read around here (I've just lurked until today) I don't think there is much difference between 3rd and 3.5

Well there's probably a conversion from 3.0 to 3.5 no? Or at the very least something that tells the difference between the two. If that's the case I'm sure making a character from either edition wouldn't be too difficult (I hope anyway).

Everyone seems eager to play! For what you were wondering:

- I prefer to play with 3.5 rules, but being a 1st level play, there´s little difference between 3.0 and 3.5.

- The point of the game is being an introduction to the game and explain rules, but since I can´t measure newbieness, I don´t mind who plays.

- I´ll post the character creation and house rules tomorrow and hope to start playing the next week.

Awesome!!

I want to say thank you to Someone again for going out of the way to help us learn how to play (or a refresher course for some of us. :) ).

Does anyone have any ideas on what kind of character they will have?

Right now I'm leaning toward either a Chaotic Evil Half-Orc Barbarian, Rogue, or Warrior

or

Neutral Lawful Dwarf Fighter.

Either way, this looks to be a fun one!

I want in

I'm not a newbie, but I want in. I've got enough experience under my belt to help out. Plus I always feel it is good to have an experienced player in the field with newbies. I have a lot of character options, but most are far beyond newbie level. Just let me know what you want.
