Alright well I know there's a SW II thread...

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
But to make this short and sweet, I LOVED this movie. Between Spiderman and Star Wars, I can safely say I've seen the two best and biggest movies of the summer. The lightsaber battle between Yoda and Dooku ROCKED!! The new Anakin wasn't that great but hey, he's only a kid! ;) Ewan McGregor though was a great Obi-wan.

Ya, they were both good, but they aren't the best movies I've seen this year. They were the best special effects movie I've seen.

If you want to see a very good movie, and don't mind sub titles, I suggest No Man's Land. I just got this on DVD and I was amazed on how well it was done.

Well, we still have Minority report, Men in Black2, and Twin towers to go. We probably have a few other good action flicks on the horizon that I'm forgeting. The year isn't even half over. Plenty of movies to come.

Thanks Steve. So, I take it you've had a chance to see it? What did you think of it? I haven't found anyone I know who has seen it so I can't talk about it with people.

The best part of Star Wars II were the trailers for Minority Report and the Matrix 2. I was going through periods of trying to stay awake and trying not to have a seizure during the actual movie. The special effects were great, but the story was a big let down to me. The magic, for me, is gone, I fear. I wanted to like Attack of the Clones, but just couldn't.

Yeah yeah, bash Americans why don't you. Why not, the rest of the world seems to be getting off on it! (That is, when they are not too busy bashing Israel.)

NO FAIR!

I have seen episode 2 twice so far and didn't see the Matrix Reloaded trailer at all. In fact I started to believe I just imagined that it was supposed to be shown.

(Mistwell, please reread my post thinking it's ironic)

No Man's Land is a very good movie indeed. I was surprised to know that he won the Oscar this year, because it is not a tipical movie that Holliwood appreciate, but it's truly a movie you should not loose...

The script is smart, and the actors are quite good in their role: it is a way to show how WAR truly is for people who are living it in their homelands, and how the western democracies fulfill their role as "defenders of the peace". It is bittersweet, with an inevitable end that i will not spoil.....

Try to find it, it truly worth all the efforts to!

And may i suggest you an older movie, that No Man's Land reminded me. It should be made something like six years ago. It is a french movie by Matthieu Kassovitz. The original name is L'haine (The Hate): one of the my best movie ever.
