Alter Self

I know this does not seem right but can lycanthropes be added to your list. By definition in the MM they are called either medium humaniods or large humaniods.

Darklone I would agree that applying templates to an alter self is bad form and in a home game I would house rule it but is there anything in the rules that says a template could not be applied to an alter self form or a polymorph?

SRD on Alter Self:
You acquire the physical qualities of the new form while retaining your own mind. Physical qualities include natural size, mundane movement capabilities (such as burrowing, climbing, walking, swimming, and flight with wings, to a maximum speed of 120 feet for flying or 60 feet for nonflying movement), natural armor bonus, natural weapons (such as claws, bite, and so on), racial skill bonuses, racial bonus feats, and any gross physical qualities (presence or absence of wings, number of extremities, and so forth). A body with extra limbs does not allow you to make more attacks (or more advantageous two-weapon attacks) than normal.

You get the natural weapons, but there is a question on whether or not you can use them effectively. I would say you act as if you have the attack routine without any non-racial feats for using them. In other words, all natural weapons after the first have -5 attack unless the creature you are altering into has multiattack as a racial feat.
 

I've looked this spell over again.....man, would it suck to be a type other than humaniod or outsider!

The fey IMC may have to come up with a new version of this spell.
