The third edition of D&D is the first under an OGL, which supposedly could be used to create not only the classic heroic fantasy of the older editions, but also other genres. Games like Mutants & Masterminds, Conan, Spycraft and Iron Heroes bended the rules to create different gaming experiences, and I think that was pretty cool.
What I’d like to know, though, is what you all think is missing from the various options presented.
Just to give an example, I don’t think the kind of fantasy represented in 2E by Dark Sun (classic fantasy twisted by a post apocalyptic setting) has an equivalent in the various d20 games that were published. Anything else missing?
Cheers,
