Amazon Orders

AFAIK, Ebay bought (or merged with) paypal. I never complained when Ebay had the policy, but Paypal is just a money system, and different.

Ah well. Life Goes On :)

yup, Ebay owns paypal. My understanding is that eventually paypal will be rebranded as something along the line of ebay payments or somesuch.

Thank you! :D

Now that we're hearing about some of the Wal-mart orders shipping I will be on my distributor who will be on WotC as well as myself pushing HARD to have everything released early. *And* I will be shipping all of the books at the same time!

Like I said before, this is my number 1 priority this coming week.

Talon, you made my day. Glad to hear. I had switched from Amazon to you yesterday.

TalonComcs I enjoy giving you business cause gaming companies need business to keep alive cause I love you guys especially the good ones who help the community when they don't "need" to.

I am now getting 2 copies of all 3 books. If you beat walmarts to getting to my house i'll send ya 5 bonus bucks cause i'm in a good mood. Unfortunately they are shipped to arrive on monday since they don't do it saturdays so you've got 3 days! (If walmart is like amazon which sometimes does get me books a day after on saturday i might have it tomorrow oooooo.)

My Amazon account says "Not Shipped Yet". They've got until next week to get it here or I'm canceling. It's time for the annual family vacation and they've got this sweet gaming shop called Jester's Playhouse. We always find something we MUST have there and if Amazon can't sate our appetite in due fashion, our money goes to the one who feeds the habit the quickest!

hopefully I won't regret this....

I just cancelled my amazon order and placed an order at walmart. 5 dollars cheaper for the 3 books, shipped.

Now, I'll just sit and wait.

You'd think a big place like that would have a huge supply of these things ready to go. But I don't think they (or anyone else) anticipated the huge amount of people that would be buying these books. I know I didn't.

Well, of course they didn't anticpate the demand. After all, who buys these books? Freaks! Geeks! Weirdos! Dateless wonders! Not normal people, by any means. Just those bizare social deviants who were hunted to near-extinction (and rightfully so!) in the mid-90s.

Um, ok.

Well, I'm referring more to past sales as an example. The initial books sold very well and while this isn't a huge release like Harry Potter, past sales should have been an example. ;)

As of Friday my distributor hadn't even received their revised books yet so there isn't anything they can ship me at this point.

However, if Wal-Mart has actually shipped the books (does anyone have tracking numbers confirming?) come Monday I plan on being on the phone with my distributor letting them know that Wal-Mart has broken the street date. Once that is confirmed I will be working overtime to get my order from my distributor immediately.

At this point I'm beyond pissed off that Hasbro is even allowing Wal-Mart to ship something that WotC made such a big deal over about having a street date. I can only assume that Wal-Mart 1. wasn't given a street date or 2. doesn't care. I'm leaning more towards number one as I've seen Wal-Mart honor street dates for both Harry Potter and any number of DVD releases.

Anyway, if I have to drive down to Austin on Monday, which is a 6 hour round trip, to where my distributor is located I will do it. I will not be screwed over by Wal-Mart. Period.
