Amazon takes over Bond franchise

Not the thread for it, but we'll have to agree to disagree. It absolutely baffles me that anyone who read and loved LotR (let alone the Silmarillion) would not see Rings of Power as a travesty, but as the saying goes, de gustibus non est disputandum.

Honestly feel quite the opposite, as someone who owns the entire History of Middle Eartth series and has read it: the RoP showrunners get Tolkien and his themes, and I appreciate seeing an original story.

Well, it is an odd thing, isn't it? I completely disagree - especially about the showrunners getting Tolkien and his themes.

But back to Bond...

Everyone likes to bash Cruise - and I agree, he's annoying for a variety of reasons. Still...he pretty much epitomizes a movie star that has transcended movie stardom - and it isn't unearned. Whether we like him or not, he has incredible "screen-risma." Oh, and the fact that he does his own stunts is rather impressive.

I'm not a Cruise fan either, but somehow keep seeing these on airplanes. They're always very good, but never to the extent that I want to watch them at other times.

Having said that, holy crap, Henry Cavill in this, especially the fight in the bathroom.
I checked Prime for both and theyre only available to buy or rent, so I'll have to check paramount or netflix

Did I post this twice, or was there a merger? Anyway, whatever. It's either good or bad and we won't know for some time

MI Fallout was the last film I saw at the cinema with my dad, so I have a soft spot fall it.

Also, I often used to run over the roof of Blackfriars Station when I was late for my train.

(Only one of these facts is true.)
