American Wedding - SPOILERS

Saw AW this weekend. It was hilarious. Only one thing bothered me and it really hurt the first half of the movie. Stiffler was a complete ass and everybody hated him with a passion. I always thought of him as the stereotypical stupid partier. Also, why did everyone hate him, did I forget something about the second movie?

Other than that the movie was almost perfect in execution. I highly recommend it.

I loved it too. It's hard to list many series of movies were the sequals live up to the origanals, but the american pie mvoies certainly succeed.

The Stiffler thing didn't really bother me, i always thought he was supposed to be a jerk that they all just tolerated cause they had to. I wish there was some explanation as to what happened to Chris Clien and Mina Suvari's characters. Although i didn't particularly miss them.

I thought of them as convienence characters, they were part of that particular part of the main characters lives, but not anymore. I did not miss them either.

Haven't seen it yet and am contiplating between going to the movies or waiting for it to come out on video. Of course I know I will go see it in the moives like I have the other 2 and then buy it on DVD, like the other 2.

But if I remember right Jim was never really close with Stifler just sort of friends with him because Oz was. I think the same goes for Kevin. Finch and him haven't liked each other ever.

I guess it was the degree that caught me off guard. One of the early lines of the movie was something similar to ...At least we don't have to worry about that stifler. (This is before Stifler is introduced in the movie)

Stifler was always a jerk and ass, the only one that he was friends with (in the first movie) was Jim, the rest just knew him. I see him as the hanger on, if he left the group he would be alone because he is not able to make new friends.

I have enjoyed these movies, stupid but...

See I see Stifler just being friends with Oz. They played lacrosse together and probably other sporsts. Kevin, Jim and Finch were friends wth Oz and therefore kind of friends with Stifler. That is why I am confused as to how he is in the wedding and not Oz. Oz was his conection to the group and without him I don't see why the others stay friends with Stifler.

I'm glad I've met a girl like Michelle, frankly. After seeing AP1, that was the type of girl I wanted to meet.

At least they didn't get somebody different to play Oz in this one, the way the replaced Ryan Phillipe in Cruel Intentions 2.

There are just so many possible quips here, ranging from the obvious:

"Didn't they replace everyone in Cruel Intentions 2?"

To the more subtle:

"I was more offended when they tried to pass off Ryan Phillipe as John Malkovitch."

Or you could just go for the throat:

"You actually saw Cruel Intentions 2?!?!"

Why yes, I am stuck working late and I'm bored out of my mind, thank you for asking.
