I did up four such creatures for a "Dragon's Bestiary" article in Dragon #247 (called "The Anurans"): the archer frog, ghoul frog, leech toad, and spined toad. My retchenbeast (from Dragon #260's "Greater Drakes" article) was also rather toadlike, despite being a lesser form of dragon. Of course, these were all back in the AD&D 2nd Edition days.

Is Boz looking for amphibians or amphibious creatures? A lot posted are reptiles and fish. And if the latter, is there any seals and walrus stats?

Whilst applying animal taxonomy to fantasy monsters is at best inexact (to put it mildly) I think a cpollective effort could be made to catergorise things into families based on observable traits (afterall thats exactly what the Monster Types do:))

The Basic relevant animal Phylum for our purposes are Amphibian, Reptile, Fish, Bird, Mammal and Anthropods and Squishies (a non technical term including Worms, Mollusks, Echinoderms)

Its a time waster but can be entertaining for instance I have suggested that Dragons are evolved from a double finned Pelycosaur. IRL Pelycosaurs are consider directly ancestral to mammals which suggests that humans might descend from dragons:P

So heres my first attempt based on Woas list

Woas said:
Lizardfolk, although they don't have a swim speed can do well in water.
Lizard folk are most likely reptiles

Sahuagin live in the water but can stay on land for at least 5 hour stretches..
Fish, possibly reptiles, very slim chance of being amphibians

Skum have the amphibius special quality..
Skum are very similar to amphibians and if a natural race would probably be catergorised as such (even though they are technically afflicted abberations

Chuul are amphibius too..
Chuul are obviously anthropods

Sea Cats, like lizardfolk can hold their breath for a long time and have a swim speed..
I'd personally rule that Sea Cats were reptiles (crocodilian perhaps)

Merfolk can actually breathe both on land and in water... although they don't move that well on land..
Merfolk are most-likely mammals related to Dugongs/Manatees:)

Scrags are aquatic trolls that live both in water and land.

Sea Hags also have the amphibius special quality..
Its not been established what Trolls and hags are so these just might be amphibians

Aboleths seem to be amphibius too.
SOme fish species can 'walk on land' so no reason the aboleth can't be entirely fish
