Amusing clarification: Magic Circle

First Post
I found this kinda funny but I'd still ike the clarification, if anyone knows.

The ritual Magic circle, the decription reads: "The circle requires 1 minute to inscribe per square inside the circle (and it must be a circle)."

Right... it must be a circle. Of course we know in this game circles are always circles except when they're squares :D So which one do you think it is?

LOL :D

Evenglare, yeah that's what I supposed, it's just funny to see the description insisting that it *must* be a circle when in your head you're going, 'ok, so a square then'.

However, 4e doesn't define circles in any way. If you use the area effect rules, it's a square. If you make it a circle, there's no way to determine how many squares lie inside it. And do partial squares count?

I think a lot of DMs will be using the 3e spread rules to adjudicate this one.
