It’s the Velvet Underground? Oh wait, no.

I like their song Dust in the Wind. Oh wait, no.

I mean, sure, it’s music but it’s not exactly groundbreaking or original. It’s being directed by someone so I guess it’s “original” music the same way you use prompts to write an essay with “original” ideas.

It’s a good business model for Spotify to start making and recommending bot music so they can make money off it and not need to pay an artist.

I can’t wait for their new single Wish You Were There

The lyrics actually make some amount of sense and aren't worse that some of the human-produced slop we hear sometimes. I guess they cherry-picked the result.

(Not that it would be needed. Exquisite corpse is a perfectly valid form of art).
Songs made from stolen bits of other people’s songs isn’t “exquisite corpse”. It’s stolen trash.

This is so completely apples and oranges that I have no idea what point you are making.

I'm going to hazard a guess that not a single person thought that the cartoon avatars for Gorillaz were the actual musicians.

Tons of people thought they were a real band and not just one guy making the music and a second guy doing the art and videos. When they became so popular that a tour was required, they had to go out and get real musicians to play the parts of the fake cartoon musicians.

It sounds weird, with all the bots, though I was looking at a work truck and thinking it was an amazingly good deal, and the dealership seemed fishy so I took a look at their hundreds of five star reviews, and they were all bots, like that's not fishy at all. Everything has turned into some weird giant ripoff.
