And though it doesn't say it in those credits, they apparently picked up their own 7 of 9 eye candy.

Yeah, from what I've read, it sounds like they're essentially hitting the big red Reset switch for the show. We'll be in an 'alternate universe' where Dylan didn't "suffer the last four years," as Trance put it. Blah.

Yeah well it's kind of my theory about Sorbo on TV. He can survive (and his show) up to 4-5 seasons. Just so long as he's a) Always in command and kicking butt and b) Has cool abilities/weapons/etc.

I think I'm going to puke.

Andromeda had sunk so low, that I was almost glad they killed everyone off at the end of last season.

However, nothing irritates me more than the old RESET button.

Still, if it's better than the crap that passed for a fourth season, maybe I won't mind.

I thought the series was cancelled! Now somebody fires up the Way Back Machine and all is fine.

There is no way I going to waste my time on a series that started going down hill in it's 2nd season and just picked up speed.

Well, I read on the Andromeda web site that the series appears to have moved to cable from syndication. I don't get cable, so likely I won't be seeing the episode anytime soon. I don't really consider it much of a loss.

Andromeda is now a Sci-Fi Channel 'original'.

Everyone who died in the finale is alive in this alternate universe. They're adding a blonde bombshell sexpot character for part of the season. (I call it 'Seven-of-Nine Syndrome'.)

The actress who plays Andromeda/Rommie is pregnant, so there won't be a Rommie walking around for the first half of the season. Apparently, in this reality, she couldn't be built yet. She'll still be the ship's AI, and will eventually show up with the actress' head on another actress' body for a while, until the real actress returns from childbirth.
