[ANGEL] 1/21/04 This episode is cool and nifty.

Seeing as I've only seen snippets of seasons 1, 3, and 4 before, watching this is pretty cool. I know what 'Doyle' is up to of course, but I find it an interesting way to screw with Angel's mind. I'm enjoyin' it, and we're only 20 minutes in.

I can feel for Angel ... definitely had days like that (when I get to sleep in to much), everything is a weird dream ... can't really wake up until something big happens. Like registering that it's almost noon, and if the GF finds out I've gone back to sleep while she went to work I'm a dead canine.

ooooh, I hope Angel goes ballistic and rips Lindsay's arms off when he finds out he's been impersonating Doyle.

gah! ... I just want to see the good guys kick some ass and stop wallowing around.

And now we're over... spoiler tags since it's not specified in the thread title...

I thought the episode overall was a little slow-paced. It definitely seemed like another fluff episode to pad out the show before February, but unlike last week's episode I didn't like this one as much. Maybe Farscape just ruined mind-screw episodes so much for me, since they were so good.

Gee, nice of them to catch on to Eve. And Harmony is still hotter than her and Fred put together.

And the standard "shocker" ending... though to be honest I didn't think it was much of a shock. Hey, the company is corrupting them. Great. Couldn't see that coming a mile away. Especially Eve as the ambiguous moral guide. Very remnicient of devils, in that they only use the truth, and their victims make the poor choices.

Doyle, getting visions. Cute. Man is Spike a gullable bastard.

I don't know about that, I bet he's a little unsure and is still making up his mind. Just wait until he finds out what's going on ... I bet he and Angel are going to fight over who gets to
kill you know who
... (wes will do it while they're bickering/fighting).

*blink* .... *blink*

was that Andrew acting like a watcher?

*wolf shudders when he thinks of the consequences ...*

Looked like it, yeah.

I liked the episode, though the
hallucinations
were a little boring towards the end.

Spike's speech to the lady in the alley was worth the ep. :)

It does seem that they suddenly decided to show that the others are corrupted though. Wes & Gunn never seemed to behave befor elike they did tonight. Ah well.

Anyone beside me catch the Jaws reference?

"Must of come up the Gulf Stream."

Said the fish expert to Chief Brody, as they cut open the shark to find out if it's the one who ate the boy...

So, was that Lefty who was acting as Spike's mystic guide? Because I'm pretty sure that Doyle is dead, and what's more, if the _real_ Doyle is who I think he is--haven't been watching the series before this season--he had an accent.

Yeppers, that's Eve's pimp... er, partner. Yeah. Gee, what do I think of Eve's blatant sexuality? Well, okay, honestly, it's the only thing I find attractive about her. :p Other than that, bleh.

This is what happens when I only get to watch the last 15 minutes of Angel. :p Still I was curious as to...uhm him getting visions and all.

And yes the D-man had visions and an accent, but two things need to be noted:

1) The actual actor who played D-man WAS irish and also is now dead.

2) I figured getting the biz would screw them over.

Spike's a cynical SOB. Always has been. And he's a long way from stupid or naive. So I'd bet that he's probably pretty certain he's being set up, and he's only following through on the "rescues" because he wants to know more about what Linsey, err, "Doyle" is up to, and because a body or two would probably turn up if Spike blew him off.
