Well, I have to say, that was the best Angel so far this season.

I liked the basic idea behind the Number Brothers, mexican wrestling heroes. I might have to bring that up in my MSH game. Even better. . .no Eve :) I appreciated Angel's prophecy slip and Wesley's response. Good that Angel is reexamining the Sanshu prophecy, but I'm curious to know how it's going to work with him and Spike.

As a whole, I found the episode kinda poor. Easily the worst so far in a string of pretty good ones.

With regards to the Xanshu Prophecy, who's to say that it can't apply to BOTH of them?

I loved this one. Anyone know who played Numero Cinco?

And with regards to the prophecy and such, anyone care to fill me in on what I missed by not having seen the past three seasons? Feel free to spoil whatever needs spoiling. I get a sense that Angel's son . . . Connor? That he did something naughty, and somehow everyone but Angel forgot. What happened?

(Did someone set up us the bomb?)

Basically, Connor was born to... doh, forget her name... was it Darla? Anyway, Wesley was tricked into kidnapping the boy by an old nemesis of Angel's, Holtz. Wesley was told the prophesy "The Father will kill the Son", out of context, and Wesley kidnapped Connor to save him. Holtz nabbed him, and escaped to a demon dimension.

Then, Connor came back like a month (show time) later as a really annoying character who basically slept with Cordy, gave birth to a demon called Jasmine, and then proceeded to join sides with her, even knowing she was a demon. Angel and Lilah cooked up some mojo so that Connor was forgotten, and placed in a loving, caring home under a new name.

My thoughts on the episode: a good filler episode. Spike obviously thinks he's the one in the prophesy. Ten bucks says that's how he becomes corporeal again.

But on the other hand, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

So Wesley has NO knowledge of his betrayal, his abandonment by his friends, his evil deeds, and possibly even his relationship with Lilah, all spawned because of Connor? Basically his last year and a half of character development is gone? That's just a complete cop-out. No wonder he still has issues with Fred - everything that happened to him may not have now! I'm sorry, but this just upsets me to no end.

I really liked this episode. It was nice to see some other Champions and I would have loved to heard how they defeated the Devil's Robot. :)

As to the past year and a half not having happened... I have a feeling everyone might find out about it and not be too happy. Although who knows.

Not to say this episode had some great humor in it...

Angel: He was unhelpful... Did you know that the Devil built a robot...
Wesley: El Robotico del Diablo...*stares off in awe...* I only know a little...
Angel:Nobody tells me these things...
:D

In fact, in my recent discussion with Lightphoenix, I had totally forgotten that Wesley and crew do not remember Connor at all - no WONDER relations are not still strained, and no wonder he's still pining for Fred... a lot of character developments had no reason to happen.

Wickett, the Xanshu (Shanshu, not sure) Prophecy was season 1 - The scroll that the lawyer Lindsey (Christian Kane) tried to burn. (Angel cut off his hand to stop him.) :D

That prophecy has been hanging over Angel's head since first season, and speculation is rife over who it ultimately refers to. I am guessing it refers to BOTH of them - and Wolfram and Hart screwed with it by putting the "capture clause" on that amulet. After all, if Angel was supposed to be the guinea pig, then he wouldn't be around to fight that battle, would he? They're playing Angel about three or four different ways, in my opinion.

As cheesy as a third ensouled vampire would be, I'd like for the prophecy to apply to a different vampire, just to see the two of them when they find out. And I would love to see more about the Devil's Robot :D

Yeah, as did I. But there was no reason on either of our parts to think that everything might have been forgotten. Not that's all up in the air.

El Robotico Del Diablo

Oh, hey, what's the Spanish word for Brothers? Los Hermanos Numeros?
Hermano is Spanish for brother, so litterally, it's "The Numbered Brothers".

Further more, Diabolico is an adjective as well - diabolic.
