Angel 11-05-03 (Potential spoilers)

Wesley may not remember his relationship with Lilah (fueled by his estrangement with the rest of the gang), and so on and so forth.
We know at least that this isn't true. As a refresher, the mindwipe occured at the end of the next-to-last episode of last season. But in the season finale, Wesley accepts the tour of Wolfram & Hart specifically so he can destroy Lilah's contract. Now I guess he could have been doing this purely out of the kindness of his English heart, but I was under the impression it was because he deeply cared about her and didn't want her roasting on a spit in Hell.

Myself, I'm for the "fuzzy memories" theory. They remember Holtz screwing with them, Cordy betraying them, Angelus's return, and the rise and fall of Jasmine, but can't quite make the connection between them all that Connor's presence explains. To them, it was unconnected events, or events that bore other connections. Or (and this would be entertaining) Wolfram & Hart substituted some other, heretofore unseen character to take the place of Connor in people's memories.

All you lovers of the Buffy / Angel RPG out there... I found the following just now on RPG.Net:

If only there was an Eden Writer working on an Angel sourcebook who was such a Luchador fan that he would feel the need to stick El Diablo Robotico in said sourcebook if at all possible. Oh wait a minute....

That's pretty much the theory I subscribe to as well... but now I'm not entirely certain.

No no, The mind wipe of Connor was the 'condition' that Angel would accecpt the job. Everyone ecept Angel (And Lila) Forgot who Connor was at the end of the Finale.

I also remember the mindwipe as occurring at the very end of the season finale. It is Fred saying "Who's Connor?" at the end of that scene that lets us know what happened after Angel slashed down at Connor with the knife right before the fade-to-white.

Oh crap, I think you're right. Still, it doesn't mean the "fuzzy memories" thing can't be true. Just because we haven't heard him mention Lilah doesn't mean he doesn't remember her. Remember, the stated goal of this season is to attract new viewers, so I wouldn't look for a whole lotta references to past seasons.

I could have sworn that Eve made specific reference to the whole Jasmine thing, in the first episode, AFTER the mind-wipe.
That was to Angel in private. She said something like "Kind of reminds you of Connor, doesn't it? Oh, of *course* I know." They've also mentioned that Cordelia is in a coma, but they don't know why or how to help her.

BTW, anyone notice the name on the business card the W&H goon gave No. 5? Holland Manners :)

Having not seen the seasons (or season parts) after Holtz takes Connor into an other dimension, I can only make some guesses.

But remember that it was done the other way around in Buffy: Suddenly, Dawn appeared as her sister. Nobody noticed any inconsistencies in the past (and there probably would be some, because being the only child or the first one is probably a pbig difference, even if you happen to be a Slayer), and so it is probably with the absence of Connor.

Veering off on a tangent...

All of a sudden I'm strongly reminded of the 5th season episode of Buffy in which the gang try to come to grips with the idea that Glory might POSSIBLY have something to do with Ben. :)
