Angel 2/5/03 *Spoilers*

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
Well even though I followed the link that led to spoiling this episode for me, I STILL have to say there's some great stuff going on. The fight between Gunn and Wes, great stuff. Plus the whole Angelus messing their heads. Classic. I almost though Conner was going to do it, fight Angelus. But that line "You're my father bit" very nice. I still wonder IF the sword thing is real. The Nordic Priestesses, now that was pretty sweet.

Anyway, thoughts comments people?

Yeah, that was a good episode. Now Conner, there's a conflicted character. At times I dislike him as he's so full of angst. But tonight's episode with him running out of the priestess house - I felt sorry for him.

And... Is somebody gonna die next week? Anybody wanna guess?

Did any of you notice that Sean Astin directed it? He's not just a hobbit, he's a director!

What amazes me is that Angelus is brilliant while Angel is just Angel. No slouch obviously, but not the brightest. I'm loving every minute of hating what these characters do. Wes...can he screw things up more?

Here is a link about Sean directing it

Though I enjoyed the episode and have thoroughly enjoyed the beast arc as a whole, the concept that everything and its mother can be found in LA is growing tiresome. Need a magic sword? Hey its just outside of LA (granted its a dream, but still.) Need some nordic priestesses? Hey they're just down the street. Need a shaman that can remove souls? Sure, let me just pop over to chinatown in downtown LA.

Two things I'd like two point out:

1. The sword really WASN'T in LA. Just happened to be in a dimenisonal vortex that was linked to LA.

2. Hey it's LA. They sell bodies, movies, people, cocaine and dreams. Why shouldn't demons and other strange paraphalia be in LA? :)

Skade, I did know this, as I believe there was a mention of it on Sci-fi news.

I want to say Lorne...but no idea. I do believe though Faith will make her entrance either in this one or the following epsidose.

It would seem that they have to do something with Cordelia... I've heard rumors that Charisma Carpenter is pregnant, and from all the frock coats she's been wearing, and all the long shots that have her conveniently placed behind tables at wierd angles, I think it's plausible. They'll either have to write it into the show, or write her out for a while... I don't think they'll kill her off, though.

Of course, being "killed off" doesn't have to mean "written off the show" in a show about vampires...

Yeah, even Wesley said that Angelus is smarter than him. I'm not really convinced, though. The Angelus we've seen is a true predator, always looking for weaknesses and vulnerabilities (in everyone) he can exploit. But I can't really think of anything particularly ingenous that he's ever said or done.

So now that we have an official Faith lead-in on Angel, can someone tell me exactly what happened with her character in Buffy? I know she turned bad, then Buffy kicked her ass. But I thought she died? I missed that whole Buffy arc. Thanks.

Spoilers:

Faith ended up in Jail and Angel has been trying to rehabilitate her to stop her from just busting out of Jail, which she could do, in essence getting her to agree to her punishment.
