Angel Season Finale (Spoilers)

Oh, and I think W&H really is happy with Angel & Co. because I think Jasmine really was one of the Powers that Be - she really was "good" supposedly. . . and being so was an enemy of W&H - Angel accomplished what W&H would have wanted without prompting from them.

Good episode. I liked Conner, myself, but then I've only seen the past four or five episodes, ever. So I don't know what he was like before. I'd vaguely heard about W&H from reading some websites, but never really knew the power they had.

So, I guess it comes down to the classic Deal with the Devil? W&H seems pretty darn powerful, what with being able to reshape reality and all (since apparently Angel is the only person who even remembers Conner existed). The whole offer does seem corrupting, and it'll be interesting to see how they each deal with it. Gunn seems to have been either replaced or somehow already corrupted; Fred's comment about him being 'taller' might suggest the werepanther idea. Does that stem from anything else in the past?

And it also brings up another idea: is anything even what it seems? The bit about the limo could be a simple flip in the film but it also seems that it could be a hint that Things Are Not Right Now, since Angel made the deal.

That is an interesting thought. I mean surely the director and editors would know that people would notice the limo driving on the wrong side of the road. Maybe since Angel made the deal things are just not right in LA.

I thought Fred said "Where's Connor?" but my wife thought she said "How's Connor?". I guess she was right. So somehow W&H have altered everything so that noone but Angel and Lila remember Connor existed. Not to mention putting memories into that family making them think that Connor was thiers. But that is not new either. Buffy's little sister, can't remember her name right now, didn't exist then suddenly she was there. Then it was explained that she was created and memories of her were implanted into everyone.

I'm pretty sure Fred said, "Who's Connor?" which served as incredibly confusing, until we saw that Connor had been given a "nice, normal" life and no one remembered him except Angel (and Lilah, who's dead).

I love Lilah and hope Stephanie Romanov comes back for a couple more episodes.

Her and Wes's relationship was odd but she did love him.

As far as Angel and the Senior Partners. Its OBVIOUS why they gave him Wolfram and Hart.

Why?

Think about all the good Angel has done. Now, think about all the pain it has caused. Sure, Angel gave everyone thier free will. But look at the cost. Sure, Angel tried helping Kate. But at what cost? Her father.

Angel has always helped people and its always, ok usually, backfired in some way.

If i was big and evil, id have angel on my side. Why? hes done more damage helping people than i have hurting them.

. I admit that I wasn't super-happy with the middle of this season, but the episodes this Spring have been unrelentingly fantastic, IMO, and have pretty much justified the mid-season ickiness.

Apparently. It fits, since TKD guy was supposedly a nerd back in highschool before going to.. what was it? Dartmouth I think. His performance on Buffy was pretty awesome, but now that I see it's one actor, I guess I was right the first time when I assumed he looked different because of the makeup. It was mostly the mouth/smile, so fangs I suppose. Less bedhair too, and he seemed taller. Maybe Fred is just bigger than Buffy and the relative difference played a trick on me.

Anyway, I hope they do something with that character. The actor is obviously talented, and the character could be 6 kinds of cool.

um im prety short and im taller than Buffy. Sarah is only 5'4 if i remember correctly.

Everyone is taller than Buffy =)

So I guess the Senior Partners pulled the same trick the monks did to Dawn (Buffy's sister). That is, alter reality and everyone's memories ... which is a heck of a lot of power for them to have! First I thought that they changed time... made Angel give Connor up for adoption when he was born. But the Connor would be a baby still... no, reality had to be altered.

But when you mess with reality, it leaves lots of little holes. For example, what about the peopel Connor killed? Are they alive again? What will Cordelia remember if she ever wakes up? What about the fact that Connor was on the news that day holding up those people?

My head hurts...

But overall, excellent episode!

My favorite part was the moment of silence at the beginning... whenever they panned to someone, I was sure they were going to speak! Great directing there...
