Animal Affinity Question

I am *certain* this was talked about but the search feature seems to have been disabled and I got bored at about page 8 or so looking for it, so here it goes.

Someone earlier mentioned the sage said Animal Affinity (which is not stated as providing a certain type of bonus, like say "enchantment") does in fact stack with stat booster items and potions. The way the power is written, and based off that note from this person, I tend to agree. However, I wanted to clarify just to make sure the Sage didn't correct himself later or there was errata released on this power.

Can anyone clear this up for me?

As far as I know, it's an unnamed alteration to the characteristic. I know a lot of people make house rules about it being an enhancement bonus (and it would make the ability a bit less powerful), but I know of no official change.

Bruce Cordell himself has said that it is an enhancement bonus (which may disagree with the Sage). Bruce wrote the PsiHB, the Sage did not.
