Animal-like weapons for Druids

Oh boy, another thread about druid weapons.

(rolls his Will save)
Woo hoo, made it!

I really hope that Sticks and Stones has a section about druid weapons. They've fixed Wild Shape, hopefully they'll do something about this silly rule too.

In the Forgotten Realms, druids of Mielikki can bypass this rule.

Druids of Mielikki can use any of the standard armor or weapons that rangers normally use (all simple and martial weapons, all light and medium armor, and all shields) without violating their spiritual oaths.

This doesn't give them proficiency, nor does it cover some of those exotic weapons like the bladed gauntlet or nekode. But it makes a huge difference for ranger/druid characters.

Ehh, I haven't seen too many problems with thier weapon list, my players won't give the bow issue a rest though.

For flavor in my game I gave them Scythe and an exotic weapon from my own game to replace the scimitar. The weapon I gave them was the Bear's Claw [exotic small 1d8 x 3 crit, slashing 4lbs, finessable.] Real nice for those ranger/druids, too.
