She notices someone looking at her from the corner of her eye and smiles in his direction. She nods politely to him and seems to study him before letting her eyes stray from him.

She thinks to herself,
"I will have to keep an eye out on this one, it seems we are opposites.. but that is not always a bad thing. Perhaps it would be interesting to strike a conversation with him."

She shakes her head, "No, no.. I will wait for him to speak to me first."

*Seth pulls his bullseye lantern closer, slowly closing the clasp, sure it's strange light will not be necessary here, he continues to eat as he draws the huge book over, opens it, and begins to write, lip-synching his written words, but not speaking*

"I am not sure of how time is measured here, for all I know, I am burning centuries eating here. However, here is where I am, I heard the name Juxta, but I have no clue of the nature of the place, apart from that the local attitudes and conditions mimic the Prime Material. The usual prejudices against the deathtouched is evident, as my great-grandmother's mistake continues to haunt me. There are a tiefling and an aasimar here, perhaps I can gauge my responses against theirs.

"Why the woman decided to bear my great-grandfather's child to term despite his wight condition and the advice of the clerics around her, creating my line, I am brought back to pondering. Surely she had been warned that her line would be forever tainted by the cold grip of Negative Energy, but she persisted... what kind of love, or madness, was there to make someone choose to be with someone beyond the grave?

"Nonetheless, it has been, to my perception, about an hour since I arrived here, I am eating, and preparing to begin my research into a new tuning fork to take me to the Outlands. The tiefling has no clue of how to escape, I contemplate overcoming my apprehension and addressing the aasimar or perhaps the mage, but both could be very dangerous. More later."

He takes a long drink from his glass, and ponders.

She looks around to the others then lets her eyes rest back on her now empty glass, her mind wandering back to recent events. "The last place was a bit more lively than this... I wonder what shall happen here. The last time I went to a tavern men began fighting and I had to leave for fear of the brawl. I must admit men are strange in their habits and territorial behaviours." At that she smirks lightly to herself, "Though at least they were gentleman at the begining of it all. However, what I seek is quite important and I shouldn't forget it. My very life depends on it..." She lets her blue sapphire eyes look around again, this time sadened, though her beauty still shined through it. There wasn't much that could mask such beauty, not even the filthiest rags and a haircut.

Noting the entrance of the woman, the "tiefling" finds his gaze held longer than he would usually care to look at anyone, but nevertheless, he finds no regret in a lingering gaze this time.

Glancing back at the now occupied Mortif, he begin's his scanning of the room anew. "Should have known the dead wouldn't be very sociable" He thought, looking around the room for anyone that may be able to shed some light on what happened to planar travel recently.

She lets her eyes fall to the tiefling and then breaks her gaze after studying him. She looked down at her cup, stood up, walked over to the bar with the same eloquence and gracefulness as before, gets her cup refilled, then sits back down. Her hair sways behind her a bit as she walks, giving off the most radiant shine from the light's reflection on her hair.

She raises the cup to her mouth and takes a small sip of the sweet red wine.

*Seth sighs deeply, and stands*

"People of this place, I must ask of you something. I realize some of you find my presence distasteful, but I am not long for this place. Merely tell me what this place is, and I will craft what I need to take myself and this one..."*points at Xavim*"...from this place, and from your presence. The more you tell us, the quicker we can be gone. I am willing to return your help with spellcasting or other assistance, such that I can provide. I am a Dustman, and my arts are those of Death. I am an accomplished necromancer, death priest, mortician, and undertaker. If you need the Mindless put to rest, or the Free Dead turned away from your lands, or mere medical help or burial rites, these are my talents..."

*suddenly his mind clicks into place*

"Can someone tell me, if nothing else, the burial rituals here? I have studied them from across the planes, I might be able to connect this place to my learnings."

She stands up and walks eloquently over to Seth, as she stands up it looks like the wind blew her hair to make it move softly around her.

She smiles and holds her right hand out to him,
"I am Elona Marrowin, I can help you."

*the two 'touched look at each other, and Seth rises, looking to her*

"Never let it be said that Seth Marik is held back by prejudice...I welcome your help, celestial. Speak to me as you can, and I will return the favor as I can."

*you might note that, unlike most Primes, Seth's black eyes never turn away, nor do they rudely trace her body...he seems completely blaze' to such things, his gaze is a dead stare, as if facial expression just isn't that useful to him. But then, he's somewhat special himself, but in a much darker way*

*on the table, the book speaks again, this time in Common*

"Seth, careful. Paladins, celestials and their kind hunt your kin for sport, no matter how distant the relation. Be on your guard."

She looks at Seth, "No I don't hunt anyone unless they are deserving of it. However, that is not why I am here. I am here to search for an item that is of worth to me and shall save my life." Realizing she said to much she looks down and sighs.

The shorter touched seems to smirk beneath his hood at the ladies approach, "My this is an interesting turn of events." his Abyssal speech echos in the air.

Cloaks rustling he turns in kind and glances quickly over the woman. Although somewhat concealed by his cloak, it is nevertheless apparant that this one is very much like Seth in at least one more way.

"An item you say?" The 'tiefling' inquiers, "Care to elaborate upon how some trinket is so crucial to your well being?" Cradeling his face in his right hand, one of his two fingers tapping absantly, "Perhaps we can come to an agreement that would benefit both our situations. Although, I am a little curious as to why one such as yourself would be interested in helping a pair of fiends such as ourselves."

Then a soft nearly inperceptable glow flickers across his eyes, as he extends his sentience to glance into her mind, listening for her thoughts.
