Well, that one smells like gold dust, and that one smells like diamond dust.
he points as he grins.
The joy of slaying a vampire obsessed with gems.

He sniffs the the air, trying to pick up the third one's scent, a strange look coming on his face.
I don't know what that one is though.

Seeming to appear out of nowhere, Xavim suddenly stands behind Brenan, a sinister grin on his face.

"You're really are lucky you think things through Brenan. If I had not known of your playful intent..." The Abyssal comments leaning causually against the wall (or what's left of it)

"You be spending the rest of your days a gibbering idiot with barely the mental capacity to draw breath."

The sudden presence of the fiend takes everyone by alarm, as Terran had not smelled him until his appearance and Elona had felt no eyes upon her during her brief respite. Turning his head to look over the group as is his habit, he asks mildly amused.

"Is this how all of your friends are going to introduce themselves? Because I doubt the inns will tolerate this kind of damage on a regular basis."

He accentuates his comment by tossing a stray chunk of glass out the still shattered window.

I just repaired that! Tarran roared as he took in deep breathes, and focused his energies on the tiefling. The window repairs itself again under the bluelight. He used the secondary powers of the Veran, the ability to always keep track of a being. I always want to know where he is, Tarran thought, because I simply do not trust him. A few more breathes and the werewolf calmed down, staring into the eyes of the tiefling, and seeing right to his soul. Tarran would have cringed had he not slain his world's master vampire. Those eyes held no compassion. We know how to fix that up, Tarran thought to himself. He sends a message to his pack daughter, hoping Blair caught it, asking for her help, and telling her to tell Amaru to guard Lu.

He glances at Elona, who seems annoyed with Xavim. He glances at Brenan, who also seems somewhat annoyed. Remembering the feeling he had gotten from them, he tried to sense the emotions and thoughts of the Tiefling.

Brenan looks to the tiefling, "Well, I hadn't seen your kind in quite a while. It is unusual to bump into one here..."

Elona looks to Xavim,
"That is what Tarran had mentioned earlier. If I had known father was going to send Brenan here I would have warned you guys. However, the palace has many messengers as they are quite needed. I wasn't sure which he'd send. To answer your question Xavim, no they won't all introduce themselves in such a manner," she smirks, "only those who know me."

Elona looks to Tarran and seems to study him when Xavim broke the window he fixed. She sensed his anger and seemed interested in that.

Tarran would have been growling had he been in wolf form. He spoke to Elona's mind Your father knows. That is the reason he sent Brenan. I just thought of something. One, whenever we need to rest for the night during our journey, I'm going bear size, and wrapping around you. I would trust this tiefling farther than I can get to him in a heartbeat. Also, I have something you need to give to Brenan to give to your father. Just answer me one question. What is your father's name?

Tarran continued to internally snarl at the Tiefling.

She had forgotten to tell him of the pouch contents, "Oh, to answer your earlier observations, or should I say smells... one velvet pouch is full of gold coins and the other velvet pouch is special and holds my cloak. The leather pouch, does indeed, carry diamond dust, it is for Seth. To answer your other questions, my father's name is Korrimar Marrowin."

Brenan looks to Elona oddly as she didn't hear anything spoken from Tarran and yet she speaks in answer. He grins as he suddenly thinks that perhaps there is a mind conversation going.

Suddenly, Tarran grins. You're a Marrowin?! Why didn't you tell me! I know your father. I met him when he was a little younger than you are now. I was a pup at the time, and suddenly he explodes into the glade, followed close behind by a huge demon. A massive balor. He had your father down, and I snuck up behind the fool, and snapped his neck. I had my first taste of tainted blood then, and I surge to full Veran, and was given Lu a year later. Your father, during his recovery over that year, told me about your kingdom. That's how I knew about your kingdom. I told him, should he ever need my help again, I would help, just give me a message, in repayment for my speeded growth. Give this coin to him Brenan (coin is thrown) and tell him Tarran sends his best wishes, and that Amaru has something important to tell him, and also, that if he tells Amaru, the Veran will be deployed.

Tarran bows to Elona, for the first tiome since they met.
Lady Marrowin, I pledge my life to you.

He glances at the Tiefling, who has been eyeing him nastily. Into his mind, Tarran says: Yes, I have slain Balor, and Master Vampires, and somethings scarier. Don't do anything stupid.

Brenan and Elona both appear to be stunned, though Brenan not so as to catch the coin. He bows to Tarran, "I shall do that m'lord."

Elona still stands there speechless at his words and action of bowing to her.

Tarran stares at her for a moment. He then moves his hand rapidly in front of her, trying to undo the stunning.

Hello. Elona. Woohoo! Elona. Brenan, go get a bucket of water.

{OOC: Gotta go! I'll post again sometime around 4 probably.}

((OOC Xavim didn't break the window. He merely appeared in the room. You suspect some sort of teleportation magic. The break in the window was from when you threw out the assassin and you didn't mention that you fixed it in any of your posts. Only the door.))

Your soul search goes strangely unanswered as you find it utterly impossible to enter into Xavim's mind. Your silent probings meet a writhing tower of mental energy, a dark twisting mass of sheer mental power that your magics cannot penatrate.

Feeling your attempted probe Xavim grins, and looks to You with amusement at your "warning" to which he responds in kind.

"That's utterly facinating." His thoughts echo sarcastically. "I shall make myself clear but once. Your continued threats upon my person will only be tolerated for so long mutt. Know that your teeth and bulk are useless against me. And that with but a thought I could unbind your will and turn you against everything that you hold dear. I possess the ability to move mountains and rend souls, to fell the mighty into a selfless stupor, and should I desire, I could implant a compusion into the deepest corners of your mind so terrible that it would make our Lady's curse look like a splinter in the toe of a titan. You know not whom you trifle with. I have watched the rise and fall of so many of you 'mighty' that I could burst your mind with the telling. My existence has spanned entire layers of the Abyss. Be content that I am aiding you and your 'charge' in the seeking of her salvation. She claims she can help myself and the mortif return to the cage. And I intend to make cirtain she has that chance, regardless of your overactive, if well founded suspicions."

Xavim leaves the dialog at that, and as his mind leaves yours you sense a latent build up of potent energy, a like of which seems familiar to you, yet unplacable as to the type. What you do know is that this fiend has prepared some sort of mental attack, readied to fire the instant you manifest your aggression. Attacking him head on with him fully aware would be a risky endevour indeed. It seems that in Xavim you have found someone who's mental prowess rivals that of your physical ones. A bastion of terrible will and hardiness to match your furiousity and devotion.
