Anubis vs. Upper_Krust (Referee: S'mon)

Assuming you're doing nothing but waiting for the time being . . .

Round 17-19, Xun Huo waits there by the hole as Gregory takes the three rounds to run the rest of the way to where Xun Huo is. In Round 18, however, Xun Huo moves around to the other side of the Wall of Force as Gregory approaches where the part of the Wall of Force where Incisor is waiting.

At the end of 19, Gregory is standing where the halberd is, and Xun Huo is off to the side of the Wall of Force now.

Top of 20, your move.

Technically Incisor is in the middle of the Hemisphere, 11ft from the edge.

Incisor readies the horn of blasting, he is also ready to move quickly when the hemisphere drops.

Are you readying the Horn of Blasting or Readying a move action? You can only ready a partial action, remember.

I'm gonna go ahead and post my next move, assuming you're readying the Horn of Blasting and also assuming you meant "ready to move quickly" in an action/metaphorical sense, such as "we'll act quickly when we get the chance" or something similar. I take it that is correct?

Hi Anubis mate! :)

That'll do I suppose! :p

By the way, since this battle may go into melee soon, depending on our actions, I think now is a good time to mention that your greataxe does not have poison on it. You have a single serving of the poison, and can only effect one weapon with it. You chose to effect your arrows, so the greataxe CAN'T have it.

Anyway, that's all for now.

Okay.

Is it safe to assume you're readying this until the Wall of Force drops? If so, I'll go ahead and post my next few moves.

Gregory (Round 20)

Cast Bull's Strength on myself (Strength +3, total 26 now)

Xun Huo (Round 20)

Moves around to be next to Gregory

Gregory (Round 21)

Cast Endurance on myself (Constitution +3 [+1 total because it overlaps Bracers of Health), total 26 now)

Xun Huo (Round 21)

Cast Endurance on Gregory (Constitution +3 [no effect because it overlaps previous Endurance], total 26 still)

Gregory (Round 22)

Free Action: Drop Large Steel Shield +3. (Note: For attacks, Gregory will be wielding the heavy mace in two hands.)

Drink Potion of Blur.

Xun Huo (Round 22)

Why not? Refocus, heh.

Xun Huo (Round 23)

No actions.

Gregory (Round 23)

Cast Prayer, giving both Gregory and Xun Huo +1 to attack, damage, save, and skills. (Lasts until after Gregory's turn on Round 34.)

Xun Huo (round 24)

Cast Stoneskin from scroll, giving me damage reduction 10/+5 (maximum 70).

Gregory (Round 24)

Cast Divine Favor, get +3 to attack and damage (total, since it overlaps Prayer). (Lasts until after Gregory's turn on Round 34.)

Xun Huo (Round 25)

Cast Summon Monster VI from scroll to summon a Large Earth Elemental. At the beginning of my next turn on Round 25, have it appear to Incisor's left, right outside the Wall of Force. (Lasts until after Xun Huo's turn on Round 37.)

Gregory (Round 25)

Cast Holy Sword on my heavy mace, making it a heavy mace +5. (This lasts until after Gregory's turn on Round 36.)

I think at this point I should post all of their modified stats, if anything so I can remember them. Heh.

Xun Huo: Str 10 (14, Bull's Strength), Dex 14 (16, Cat's Grace), Con 14 (17, Endurance), Int 17 (21, Headband of Intellect), Wis 12, Cha 10; Effects: Improved Invisibility, Potion of Heroism, Bull's Strength, Cat's Grace, Endurance, Potion of Fly, Stoneskin, Prayer; Light Crossbow +2, 50 Crossbow Bolts +1 of Sure Striking; Atk +16 ranged (1d8+4, light crossbow)

Gregory: Str 23 (26), Dex 14, Con 23 (26), Int 10, Wis 17 (21), Cha 14; Effects: Polymorph Other (troll), Bull's Strength, Endurance, Divine Favor, Prayer (ineffective with Divine Favor), Blur; Heavy Mace +5 (Holy Sword); Atk +23/+18 melee (1d8+20, heavy mace)

Is there anything you would like to do in these rounds before I start Round 26?

I assume your ready action with your greataxe is for an attack on the first human party member (Xun Huo or Gregory, but not the likely harmless Large Earth Elemental; most likely Gregory) that you can see that comes into your threatened area?

Xun Huo (Round 26)

Cast Antimagic Field from scroll. (Incisor only sees that Gregory looks human again and that Xun Huo is no longer invisible, and has no clue what is going on because he has no ranks in Spellcraft and no knowledge of magic. Just on a side note, Antimagic Field does nothing to a Wall of Force.)

Gregory (Round 26)

Ready a partial charge.

With that, it's time to end this battle, one way or the other.

Xun Huo (Round 27)

Drop the Wall of Force and immadiate move around to about 10 feet behind and to the right of Incisor, avoiding threatened areas since I have the room to do so (Upon the Antimagic Field moving away, the spells on Gregory immediately reactivate!) . . . That puts Incisor just INSIDE the ANTIMAGIC FIELD . . . That, of course, turns off all of your magic items and thus drops your AC to 33 (+17 Dex, +6 deflection), as well as preventing you from flying or activating your Boots of Speed!

This also means that Gregory and the Large Earth Elemental can attack you inside the Antimagic Field *from outside the Antimagic Field*! The spells and items of Incisor are off while Gregory's spells and items are on, and the Large Earth Elemental functions normally!

Large Earth Elemental (Round 27)

Charge attack! Large Earth Elemental (+2 to hit for charging) hits on a 19 and does 2d8+10 points of damage on a hit. Damage reduction is negated in an Antimagic Field and thus does not apply.

Gregory (Round 27)

Charge attack! Gregory (+2 to hit for charging) hits on an 8 and does 1d8+20 points of damage on a hit.

Your readied action activates during the charge. Incisor attacks Gregory, AC 20 (-2 for charging).

Incisor attacks! (18 +14=32) Hit for (1 +19) 20 points of damage, leaving Gregory at 54 hit points.

Of course, the readied actions leave Incisor right below Gregory in initiative because Gregory triggered the readied action. That makes it my turn again, if necessary.

Xun Huo (Round 28)

Why not? Xun Huo raises her crossbow and attacks! Xun Huo (Antimagic Field) hits on a 20 and does 1d8 points of damage on a hit.

Large Earth Elemental (Round 28)

Full Attack, Power Attack 6! Large Earth Elemental gets two attacks that hit on a 20 and a 20 and do 2d8+16 points of damage per hit. Damage reduction is negated in an Antimagic Field and thus does not apply.

Gregory (Round 28)

Full Attack! Gregory gets two attacks that hit on a 10 and a 15 and do 1d8+20 points of damage per hit.

Would you like to resolve the attacks or would you like me to go ahead and do it?

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

Who said anything about Incisor attacking!?

He readied his greataxe (as opposed to readying the horn of blasting or his bow) but as soon as that wall of force is down he shifts like a bat out of hell.

Incisor runs past the Earth Elemental (giving it an attack of opportunity) - he makes sure the troll/cleric is on the other side. As soon as Incisor moves into the Elementals reach he is beyond the Anti-Magic Field which means he gets his Damage Reduction.

Full Move 350 ft. Partial Action slings Greataxe.

One other thing - can you drop your Wall of Force from inside an Anti-Magic Field?
