If I can find a plausible way to give a break to a character whose luck has been awful, I'll do it. I just have more fun that way.
On the other hand, I like low-mortality games; if you're playing in a game with high mortality, that kind of thing could be pretty hilarious.

Don't listen to him. He makes up for this by killing characters. What RBDM would routinely throw a Hill Giant and Squads of Orcs against 1st level characters? He doesn't need to roll well. It's simply better if we are not in a position for him to roll.diaglo said:i'm known for rolling poorly.
