MUDS: Getting around
I've played MUDS on an off since college...I loved the feel...the mechanics felt like D&D and remindd me of Zork and the early Ultimas (that's a good thing). The one weakness for me was managing to get around. I'm a directional idiot in real life and trying to find my way around without a map is not fun for me. There's a mud utility that helps soemwhat with a map tracking function...(forget the name of it now)....but it was too klodgy for me. At least was about a year ago.
Any mudders have suggestions on how to minimize that issue? I'd jump in again if I could get around that.
