What about the The Empire of the the Rose Petal Throne(?) ? I seem to remember that it had a weird combat system.

Nope, I've got that (original edition and a more recent (early 90's) edition. It doesn't match either of those.

Not from Rolemaster.

I'm wondering about the "army" reference.

Could this be from TSRs: BattleSystem?
It took D&D rules and mashed them into a mass combat system.

Sounds a lot like it. Or a variation of it.

What version of Battlesystem are you looking at ? The ones I have (1st and 2nd Edition) sound no more like this than 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Edition D&D does.

Right. That stuff is not from the Battlesystem rules either.

Nope, definitely not, and I know it's not from Villains and Vigilantes or Macho Women with Guns. Maybe it could be from Palladium's Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtle game?

Seriously? Sounds like a DM's house rules to me.

It really does look like some really strange cross between d&d/heroquest/paladium/gurps

I wonder if this is actualy a system or something that someone made up.. I know that I've had my share of making up systems ;) one of which was d30 based.. it was really cool!

but this system definately looks complicated.. interesting, but complicated ;) if there is a real ruleset out there for it I'd like to see it

well isuues and tissues
you know just becuase you know D&D the origins may be less known, from some books that were made with less prints

i have more information,if you want to know about spells,or classes,or races,or general campaign issues just name them i will be able to make the ancient ways more clear to you

the special classes were

Hexa sage,Arch mage,Rogue,Mazi fighter,Spellweaver

each weapon purchase for a next higher extra was the original cost and 350 gp more

spell regents were bought in quantity per # of uses 40,50,70,100 gp
the first village of campaigns only allowed reg table but any place there after could convert the highest roller for the first getting better for 100 gp

The information I'd most like to know is what book (or books) you are pulling this from? Titles? Copyright dates? Company that made them?
