What, they took out Spider Climb?

I'm going to have to keep that in. Otherwise, there are no gun mages running up walls, Wuxia-style!
Spider Climb is still there, it's now a 2nd level spell.

Does the IK ranger use the combat styles presented in the 3.5 ranger? Specifically, does the IK ranger get a choice btwn two-weapon fighting or archery begining at 2nd level? This is the one of the best changes WOTC did with 3.5 IMO.
They don't get the combat styles called out as class abilities. They get bonus feats starting at 4th level and every 5 levels thereafter (9th, etc.) In the list of bonus feats are the archery chain and the two-weapon fighting chain.

how many new feats are there? what are some of the cooler ones?
There are about 60 feats in the book. There are four types of feats: General (28 feats), Item Creation (1 feat), Faith (15 feats) and Society (18 feats).

The Faith feats represent the devotion of a cleric to a god's cause. For example, a cleric of Dhunia can take a feat which allows the cleric to basically cast the Shillelagh spell (Green Weapon).

Society feats represent membership in various organizations such as the Greylords or the Steam and Iron Workers Union.

Some of the more interesting feats are Mechanikal Secrets which reduces the base cost of a mechanikal construct by 25% and XP cost likewise, or Steamo which gives the character Fire Resistance 4 because they are so used to working around steam pipes and furnaces.

Hmmm... well, how much of that 50 pages is about cosmology specifically? The monsternomicon had 2 pages I think.

And is there any mention of infernals? How much?

Thanks for answering these qustions BTW. very good of you. :D
The Cosmology and Religion section breaks down like this:

Cosmology (page 205)
History of the Gods of Men (207)
Morrow (209)
Thamar (217)
Menoth (225)
The Devourer Wurm (230)
Cyriss (235)
Gods of the Dwarves (239)
Gods of the Elves (245)
Scyrah (247)
Cults of the Vanished (251)
Nyssor (251)
Gods of Goblins, Ogrun, and Trollkin (254)
Dhunia (255)

The numbers in parens are the page numbers that the section starts on.

There are many references to Infernals throughout the book. The index lists 22 page references for infernals.

What are the new domains and, if you feel like typing, spell lists and domain powers?

Do dwarven Paladins get mounts or, as in Lock and Load, do they get some other form of compensation?

Where does the IKCG assume the timeline to be in regards to the events in the Witchfire Trilogy? Has anything of note happened after the close of the trilogy?

Is there an index?

There are 20 (!) new domains. They are Adventure, Atrifice, Assassination, Autumn, Dark Lore, Farmstead, Madness, Mechanika, Mendicant, Mercantilism, Plunder, Predation, Reighteousness, Seafaring, Spring, Summer, Tyranny, Undeath, Warrior, and Winter. Also, quite a few of the existing domains are modified. There is also a nine page section that details changes to existing spells.

Dwarven paladins don't get mounts, but they do get the extra smite like in the Lock and Load primer, they also get a bonus feat at 5th, 10th, and 15th levels.

It looks like the timeline starts right after the Witchfire Trilogy. The intro talks a little about Vinter Raelthorne and his being repelled from the "City of Ghosts". I haven't read or played the Witchfire Trilogy so this means nothing to me, but hopefully it sounds familiar to you! :)

And, for the easy answer: Yes, there's an index, it's somewhat sparse but it should be helpful.

IKCG Delay

For those that haven't seen it. There is a post on Privateer Press's website stating that this book is delayed again. They had a misprint in the books, with some pages too dark. So the reprint should be done and shipped by July 9th. Figure a week to get from there to the distributors, and another week on that to get to your Local game store. So plan on seeing this towards the middle/end of the month this July. I wouldn't be waiting on it to show up. For those of you that have seen this thing pushed back before, it's the news I am sure you were waiting for. For those new to the wait like me, my understanding is this is par for the course. Any one else want to chip in that's been waiting since 2001 or so?

I'm happy it's being delayed. As much as I want a copy NOW I can wait a few more weeks for a better quality product.

I know many companies that would have gone ahead and shipped the product as it was. It's important (to me) to know that these guys are willing to take the time to do it right.
