Anyone planning to go to GenCon 2003?

It might be a little early for this post, but I figured I would put out some feelers anyway. Is anyone planning to go to GenCon in 2003?

As for me, 2003 will be my first opportunity to go to GenCon (after all these years of wanting to do so). FINALLY! I will certainly be making plans for the trip early. I think they usually start pre-registration sometime in February, isn't that right?

And if I'm not mistaken, 2003 will be the first year that GenCon is held in Indianapolis? Hum, I wonder why the show was moved.

I probably will not be able to attend once again. Something always seems to come up and cause me not to go.

I am planning on going to Gen Con, but the planning is much more difficult this year than in previous years since Im going to be in Japan until a few weeks before the convention.

Gen Con was moved to Indianapolis citing growing inadequate housing space for everyone who had been going to Milwaukee in previous years. Having roomed in a crappy tiny dorm room in a nearby college (40 minutes away by bus), with no phone, no air conditioner, and no private bathroom, I personally agree with that notion.

I'll be going. My husband and two other of my players are talking about it too, but whatever they decide, I'll be there. No way am I going to miss the Ennies!

As it stands right now, BadMojo and myself are attending for the first time! Besides sampling games and spending money, I'll be putting a few hours in at the MEG booth. It'll be nice to meet the ENWorld folk.

Nope, but I am going to try and go the the west coast gen con in early 2004.

Will try and do GenCon 2003 in the US if I can raise enough funds for it (cost me $800 just to get there and home again), will do GenCon UK this year however

Have to see about gencon UK though.
