Call of Juarez sounded interesting as it combined two different modes of play: one stealthy character and one nigh-indestructible gunslinger. But a lot of folks panned it, largely because missions would be sumarily ended in unrecoverable failure for minor reasons. In one instance, I heard that if you shoot the horse out from under a bandit, you fail your mission automatically--is the ASPCA a force to be reockoned with in the wild, wild west?
I started the Darkness today. It's fairly fun, but without the manual (which Gamefly doesn't include) it's hard to figure out how some stuff is supposed to work. Still, skillfully done. I have only had my 360 a few months so I haven't had enough time to take things for granted, but the graphics in Darkness really seem unbelievable to me. I mean, I can't believe the way a TV you pass by can actually be playing a film.
Splinter Cell: Double Agent had a demo I tried out. Seemed pretty stark and depressing running arond Kinshasa shooting every emaciated African in sight, just in case one might be hostile.
Just finished Saint's Row. Love the game as a whole, but man the ending is a real burn.
