There were some things I thought were well done with RMSS (or Rolemaster Fantasy as the red covers went by.) The annuals were an interesting idea for example.

The RMSS basic boxed set was an awesome idea. I don't have all my RMSS stuff, but that I still do.

Cutting the various books from Spell Law into three individual books.... well, that's when I stopped buying 'em figuring that it was pretty much the same material as previous materials I already had.

I don't think I ever bought or owned those books. It was a bad idea IMHO.
 

I hate to use the phrase cash grab, as I could see what they might be thinking "Gee, why would the guy playing a mentallist need channelling and essence rules?" but the individual books were priced too high for my taste when the old Spell Law had been emulated many a time before that.
