Are there lines to get badges at GenCon

I'm planning on being at GenCon on Saturday, and am curious about the lines / badges situation. I don't want to endure the trials and tribulations that were present last year. So if anyone there could post information regarding the badge purchasing process, it would be greatly appreciated.

The lines don't really start until Saturday. So, even though I'm not there, I can easily tell you there no - there are no lines there. But, there might be on Saturday. My only advice is to get there wicked early.

lines are long but seem to move fast, what I mean by this there has been lines for a couple of hours because of rush but then little or no line later, two or three hours after opening. Don't hold me to this, I have only been by the line twice today.

Sounds much better than last year, I'm glad they're not having the computer problems again.

Wish I could be there, it's the first one I've missed in a while.

Yes there are line, and many moved slow, but it seems to be improving.

Wednesday nights lines were long. I estimated 1000 people in line for badges when I got in line. It took 1.5 hours before I got my badge. Then I had to stand in line to sign up for events. 1.75 hours later, my events where all closed (OK 1 event, multiple times: Castle Greyhawk Lv. 1).

Thursday the lines for badges and events were much shorter.

The line for the party was 3 blocks long in one direction and a block long in another -- that caused some frustrated feelings when the too lines merged. When I left about an hour after the party started, the line to get in was still a block + long.

See my GenCon report post.

100% improvement from last year. i don't recall any time where i saw more than say 30-50 people in any one line. most of the time, it was less than 10 people.
