Personally, I think that the gaming community at large tends to make too many excuses for itself and it's sometime sociopathic behavior. Especially how it acts on message board forum.

Agreed.

I've also taken breaks from this forum and I still stand by my earlier statement that it's one of the best ones out there, especially re: keeping a lid on things. I'd forgotten how bad it was in 2008, to be sure, but even that still doesn't compare to any random 5 minutes on the WoW forum, or any other site with hundreds of thousands of members. Maybe the secret really is just numbers?

And you're totally right that the giant "ignore" button on every single post is probably the greatest feature this forum has ever introduced.
