That was the rumor, like, a month ago. It might also be, instead, the extended downtime rules to give higher-level players things to do with their money. Way my luck goes, it'll be the latter before the former, but I'm hopeful for Mystic.

In the meantime, at least you can play with Volo's Guide to Monsters.

Apparently we're going to be getting new Unearthed Arcana articles every week for the next few months, starting next Monday! (This was apparently announced by the D&D team at a seminar at GameHole Con.)

Also, i read that the next UA will present 3 Barbarian subclasses.

I heard that the next UA was "Clerics: Unraveling the Cloth" As an attempt to get more people to play them, deconstruct the healbot stigma they have, and emphasize the difference between them and warlocks.

What makes people hopeful for the Mystic? They have already done two UA articles on it, is it likely we will get a third or that they will just proceed and publish based on the feed back on the first two?

I think Mearls might have said something about doing another pass on it, one that went all the way to 20, but I could be remembering incorrectly.

I had not heard of Safehold. Pretty highly rated on Goodreads.
