They get the physical books first. D&D Beyond Master Tier who pre-ordered will get our digital copies today. Heroic tier subs get them next Tuesday.

I hope they have good backups . (I work in IT, I know how painful updates can be ... and it IS critical to have good backups).

I'm curious to see what things are going to look like when they get it all up. Hopefully it's not a disaster like the latest GW site.

Yeah, they're not supposed to do that. That's "breaking street date". It doesn't particularly bother me, but some people get really upset about that sort of thing, and you could possibly get them in trouble by telling us that. (Though probably not, I doubt anyone will go through the effort of tracking them down).

It frustrates me that my distributor had them last week, but wouldn't give them to anyone because they were worried about that sort of thing, but it happens anyway, and back when Amazon got them "at the same time" as us, they'd often ship them out early, and THEY didn't get in trouble for it!

I know they are not supposed to do that. But I’m sure glad that he did. There are like 8 hobby or RPG stores in my city so, I think he is safe from the ENWorld police. And, in me, he earns a loyal patron. Plus, I just like cool people.

The book is great…loving it. I may even (I very well may be rationalizing) be ok with traits, bonds, etc. being dropped because the book does deal with character choices and values. I like how alignment is being leaned into in the personality section.

It's presumably quite complicated to make sure it will be all up and running correctly. Give them all the time they need.

Well, I’m no longer getting the maintenance notice on my DDB iPhone app; it tells me there’s a new update to the app, and redirects me to the App Store. But the new update has apparently not been pushed through yet.
