Dude, you need to take a step back and get some perspective. From the sound of it, we're the same era. You know what? My copy of DLA still "works", and the original Ravenloft module is still awesome. My Dragon collection can't be "de-flooded", which sucks, but I'm A-OK.Dyne said:The last issue of Dragon magazine finally arrived in the mail today, and as I was looking through it I felt something break inside me. Ravenloft is gone, Dragon and Dungeon are gone, Dragonlance is gone, and now all of D&D as I know it will be gone too. The game I enjoyed for many years no longer exists, just like my gaming group breaking up several years ago. WotC has gradually sucked all the life out of it; even seeing the initials "D&D" makes me feel like I've been punched in the gut.
I will definitely not be playing 4e. However, I'm not sure I can get any more enjoyment out of 3.5e either, or any other version for that matter. The entire experience has been completely ruined for me, I'm afraid it's time to move on to something that doesn't bring back bad memories.
